Excellent kit. I added a direct drive Gilbraltar double kick and a second crash. With case and stand, spare crash, hydraulic throne and pedals all in at 3500.00$ Worth every penny. Blows my 35 year old Pearl Kit outta the water. Excellent for live performances. No mics required. My system is E.V. (6000 watts) and they sound incredible through it. Mesh heads are the only way to go for dynamics and pure feeling. Best part they set up outta the carry case in about 5 mins. I would recomend them to anyone beginner to pro.

Its is a very inexpensive kit, considering that it has all mesh pads! The stand is sturdy, and is easily adjustable!

Good kit, but cymbal sounds are not really great. Had to buy real cymbals, in my case Zildjian, now its very good. Easy to record also.

I traded in my acoustic set to get this new Roland kit. Just having access to a ton of custom kits and sounds it awesome. You can also hook up to a PC, IPAD, play along to internal songs or your own. I like the fact you can play with headphones and/or a personal monitor. The quality of the kit is amazing and I know I will have years of fun with it!

I just got this kit and saved a bundle on it. The salesman in Poco found a rental model. This is the cats behind compared to the TD-11! Far more features and it feels like a real kit! I recommend Waiting to purchase the KV over the 11! WELL WORTH IT!

AMAZING INCREDIBLE, this kit plays, sounds, and feels amazing, i am a student at long and mcquade and when i would arrive early for lessons id use this kit and its incredible. the bass sounds amazing and it sounds and feels like a true drum set, i have to say the best part is i can play it as loud as i want and no one cares because they don't hear it. I would recommend this kit to a professional or anyone who needs a new better sounding drum set. i would also recommend long and mcquade themselves because staff are so kind and know enough about there product so you know with them your getting your moneys worth i wouldn't pick any other store to buy and/or rent instruments.

Have been playing for about 2 weeks and now and this kit is unbelievable. It sounds great, very solid and looks great. The set up: Got it home and opened the 2 boxes it came in (stand, drums). This thing was packed for the apocalypse! Very good first impression. Laid it out, set up as per instructions (a la IKEA), took about an hour and a half. The stand is heavy duty steel, and all mounts(plastic) and components (steel) are equally solid. Cables are bunched together and labelled. 2 mins to hook those up. After 2 weeks of my 6yr old and I beating the daylights out of it, nothing has even slightly shifted out of position. Except maybe the wing nut on top of the crash- but that's to be expected, it gets it the hardest. We wail on that bugger. Mesh heads. Look more like acoustic than the lower end solid black rubber ones. I think they're quieter as well. ie, hitting the black rubber cymbals is slightly louder (acoustically) than the pads. They feel great and are very easy on the hands/arms. Snare comes preprogrammed with the rim shot on the rim. Still trying to figure out how to program rims on the toms. When I do, it will be cowbell (YEAH!) and probably a tambourine. Cymbals - awesome. Choke-able. Used the brain to turn up the volume on the crash. Now just tapping it sounds like an explosion! Smashing it sounds even better. :) Seriously though we do beat on that thing a lot and it's sturdy as can be. Ride equally as good. The brain does an outlet for another crash and I will be grabbing one on Cyber monday. Just cuz 2 crashes are twice as awesome. The brain: - Very plain, basic, fairly intuitive and easy to use. Just haven't quite figured out the advanced detail settings yet. I'm guessing a more advanced or studio recording drummer would thoroughly take advantage of all the settings available for each trigger. Though for playing along with classic rock the 'Rock Kit' as is, is all I've used. Only con I see with the brain is the 'Coach' function. It's really just metronome. That's it. Really. I'm not really a drummer, but think I am, so I thought the Coach might contain some rhythm patterns or something. But nope just timing. Fair enough I do need to work on that, I just thought there might be more to it. The Sound: Unbelievable! This kit sounds so good. Playing along with songs in the headphones is amazing. Live it just simply sounds as close to an acoustic set I've ever heard. Monitor: I did buy the Roland PM10 because that what should go with it. But it is the wrong tool for me. Playing along with my ipod sounded mudded and . . . off. So I returned and grabbed a pair of powered High Def home theatre speakers at Visions and OMG! The whole system now sounds amazing. Chest thumping base and bright clean treble. At any volume. My guess is if you're gigging you'll need/appreciate the monitor, but in by basement which is the only place I'll play it wasn't a fit. Overall impression: EXCELLENT! I'm a 46yr old wannabe. But I will put in the time and didn't want a cheaper set and be left wanting. I am at a stage where I'm willing to pay for quality. However I couldn't justify price jump to the 15K for a hi-hat stand and 30 more programmed kits I know I wont use, lol. Even though in this unit I can program many more if really want to. I couldn't be happier with the look, sound, playability of this unit. Long & McQuade: Excellent to deal with, very, very helpful. Pleasant, polite. Customer for life!

I was browsing long n mcquade, then I say this amazing Roland...and I was like???I got to try it out!! And I did. It was truly amazing, the bass never missed a note, the features were awesome (30 of them) and the amazing pads were coated with spandex so it felt like a real drum bouncing off of the board. It was really cool for a mid priced set. I'm definitely going to save my money to get this

After rocking out on it for about a week now, all I can say is WOW! The mounts and hardware is sturdy, and the sampling is great! I was never that convinced of the mid-range priced electric drumkits but Roland has proved me wrong. For any drummer considering the TD-4 or TD-11k Entry Series, I would hold off on those for this kit. The mesh pads on ALL drums make the difference, as well as the sweet upgraded processor. It feels like a real kit (once you get over the fact that playing this 6.5" tom sounds like a 10") and sounds like a real kit. The sensors are very sensative. To build an acoustic kit with all the features it has would be very $$$. Cons: Only one, You cannot add more cymbals. I'm assuming you need an adapter or upgraded processor for that. I would love two crash cymbals and a ride, but I can manage :).
