I've had this amp for 2 years and love it. Just recently have really figured out the panel. Great sound and the louder it gets the better it sounds

I went to the L&M around my work to get a Mustang 1 and they had a used 2 for the price of the 1. Looks brand new, best solid state amp I've personally heard. The presets are awesome to mess around with.

I can consider this as a killer practice amp, a solid backup amplifier, and a decent gigging amp that offers great connectivity and room for tonal expansion. Few amplifier manufacturers know how to make a reliable, usable, and inexpensive amplifer as the folks at Fender do. Given its price and range of versatility, you can't really make a bad decision here. Both beginners and pros alike can find something to love with the Fender Mustang II. I also picked the Fender Mustang II as my top choice for headphone amp on my blog - https://bestamps.net/small-guitar/

I've had this just over a year & its my main amp. If you're considering the Mustang I get the II instead with the 12" speaker (as opposed to 8") & more audio output this will give you more volume if you're playing out someplace. Sound quality itself is good. Controls not to bad here but not everything is accessible from the front panel (mid tone control, some of the built in effects) so make sure to use & get used to the Fender Fuse program with it. Can edit the preset to whatever suits you, even replacing presets you don't like at all with ones you will use.

Best modeling amp is also the cheapest for my ears, this amp beat out the Roland cube and even Vox Valvetronic. consider this amp if you want something uncomplicated with all the bells and whistles

Got this about a week ago. Little overwhelmed at first. So many options for sound. Throw fuse software in there and you could mess with settings all day. I did. For the money I don't think you can find a better entry level AMP will so many features. If you are computer literate ....there are so many options..... it will keep a newbie entertained and learning for a long time. Great sound, great features...great price

Bought this amp because my Fender Blues Deville was getting a bit too heavy to carry around for small gigs and rehearsals. At the end of the day, the amp is good value for the money. Light and loud. Okay for my swing band gigs. The only hesitation I have about this amp is the built in tuner (mine is not that reliable) and the fact that it has many built in tones - but most of which seem designed for the heavy metal/rock crowd. After some tweaking I was able to get some good clean sounds but that is not this amp's strong point. Also, the fact that it has an earphone jack is great for practicing when the spouse is trying to sleep. All in all, even though it's not the greatest amp around, it is definitely worth the purchase price.

I've been playing around with this amp at smaller venues, recordings, small jam sessions since my purchase about 3 months ago and I absolutely love it. As a practice amp at home it is fantastic, the effects on the amp are pretty versatile (including the online feature which I've still not had a chance to really explore but am interested in). I've also managed to use this in smaller venues and jam sessions and this can go loud. My one gripe about it is perhaps its pure clean, no effect sound (to try plugging in pedals to use pedal sounds) doesn't sound the greatest but I guess that's what tube amps are for. Overall, this is a spectacular amp, especially for its price, and would recommend as either a practice amp or as a beginner guitarists amp!

I choose this over the Vox as I liked the Fuse Software and connection to my laptop. 2/3 of the stock Amp settings are Meh for me but I have found a few online and created my own to give the amp a pretty sweet tone. The Abelton SW is so complicated I've given up for now . Using the Fuse software does really give you a chance to try out effects you might not have access to making the choice of pedals for a Tube amp a little less confusing. Very reliable so far . i'd certainly recommend it for newer players and as a practice amp.

This amp is an incredible value: who else sells a 1x12 at this price?. Graded lower on quality due to some component (FX knob) failures, all corrected under warranty through L&M, and a firmware update needed to produce some of the effects (like wah) in Fuse. This amp sounds great for blues, rock, jazz and country: deep, rich and complex sounds from the 12" speaker.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
