My wife bought me one of these about a year ago just because and fact is I wanted one.It quickly became an always on pedal simply due to it’s amazing ability to make all other pedals you have in your chain and the amp itself sound so much better.It’s now my secret sauce.I’m now running two of these on my board one in front and the other in loop with a delay and a chorus simply as I stated already for better tone plus it rectifies the volume drop when the loop is engaged.It lacks features but for a truly clean boost one knob is all you need although the prime time feature is really cool if you so choose to use that way.Buy this pedal,you will absolutely love it regardless of where in the chain it’s plugged in and for the HUGE tonal improvements to the amp and effects it provides.iIt’s a great value as far as I’m concerned and money well spent.

I have a love-hate relationship with TC Electronic. This pedal is no exception. TLDR: Sounds great, but don't expect the switch to last a long time.
I probably bought this 3 years ago or so. It really does the job of a great boost pedal. It bumps up your signal without compromising any tone. It also compliments my other pedals quite well, including delay, trem, reverb, overdrive & distortion. Overall, I was quite happy with it since it didn't take up much real estate on the effects board.
However, the footswitch becomes faulty. This is apparently a known issue with these pedals in the guitar community. I also have a Flashback X4 by TC Electronic and my switches became faulty after warranty. What happens is they either become too responsive or not responsive enough. I took my pedals apart and found the culprit IS in fact the switch on top of the circuit board.
Do your research! Don't make the same mistake I did. Still a great pedal despite this Achilles heel in its design.

If all you are looking is to add a bit more of what you already love (to make it even better), go get that pedal! I play with a Stratocaster with 1967 pickups (Hendrix era) with a Fender Bassbreaker 007 Head with a 1x12 cabinet (Celestion G12M Greenback speaker) with the Small Clone Chorus in the front of the amp and it sounds amazing even when using a bit of the preamp tube gain. My guitar pickups are fairly low output so this great tiny pedal allows to boost the signal before it hits the preamp section and therefore, make my guitar pickups sounds hotter and it pushes up the amp even more. Love it! The momentary operation of the footswitch is useful to boost your solos temporarily but for me, it's best when it's always on so that tiny pedal sits on top of the amp.

I wanted the Mini the first time I saw it but I had the opportunity to buy the full Spark Booster used for the same price as this. But I tested it and just it was more than I wanted. So I spent the same money to get less and it was worth it for me. There is so much packed in there. I love the quick boost feature for fills.
I personally run it in the loop and find that it has little affect on my tone and that is what I was looking for. I ran it in front of my amp and found that it really pushed the tubes into nice overdrive but that was not my goal. I may get a second one for that purpose.

Can't go wrong picking this up - price is amazing for a great clean pedal. Switch is great and you can even hold it for short bursts of boost. Great pedals are always on and this is one of them.

I needed a boost for solos that didn't change my sound. This pedal did the trick perfectly. I use it in my effects loop with a couple different tube amps just for solos (just what I need). The momentary switch is nice for short fills, and the small footprint is a plus. I haven't tried it to push the front end of the amp or through a solid state amp yet so I can't help there. But if you need a boost for solos that won't wreck your tone, this pedal is gig tested and recommended.

The spark is really something. I use it mainly for leads and solos. It's that kick without distorting or abusing your sound that you already have. Slap it on your pedalboard and wam! Your guitar playing has increased quality ten fold!

It's a TC Electronic product so quality is never an issue. It sounds amazing and does an amazing job as a clean boost but really shines for me when you use it to push a tube amp on the edge of break-up into crunch mode. For the $ it's a safe bet if you want a high quality clean boost or to use it to push your tube amps. A pedal you won't be getting rid of!
