This ride (to me) has the perfect blend of stick articulation and wash. The tone is dark with a hint of trash (think ozone or chinas) tones. The edge is not that tough when crash as the ride is considered to be a medium weight (despite the name).
The bow is not metallic or pingy when struck. It has dark articulation and slight dark undertones. The bell is not the most penetrating, but it will poke through the mix (depending on the music genre).
Overall, this is currently my most favourite cymbal in my collection.
