I have several Behringer pedals now and it all started with this one. Other than the standard plastic enclosure, this is an excellent pedal, exceptional value. Check out the boatloads of videos comparing this little inexpensive OD pedal vs legends like the Tube Screamer. It holds its own, slightly different character but great nonetheless. If they offered a metal enclosure variant for, say, $15 more, that would be even sweeter. Want a value oriented Overdrive pedal? Look no further.

I bought this because I didn't like the overdrive I was getting from my Boss ME70 multi effects pedal. This sounds great and at $31 it's a steal.. It's an overdrive so don't expect a heavy distortion but it's got a vintage warm overdrive Stevie Ray Vaughan type of tone. I use it with a modified Squier Strat which has a Dean Markley humbucker pickup on the bridge side.

Sounds great. Durable. Inexpensive. Used it gigging 6 years, no problem. You want a metal casing? Buy a can of soup. Title says it all.

Paid $28 for this, and couldn't be happier! Don't waste your money on a real tubescreamer. Like the other reviewer said, this has the same chip as the maxon od808. Although the pedal is housed in plastic, it is still fairly rugged. I have had this pedal for a year now, and have had no problems.

did an a/b test with this pedal and the Maxon OD808. they have the same chips, though probably not by the same manufacturer. and you know what? with the 3 knobs at noon, there's so little difference between the 2. the Maxon may be a bit "warmer" sounding but it's such a subtle difference. and the Behringer is plastic. but for 1/6 or 1/7 of the price of the Maxon, I would say the difference is irrelevant....
