I bought this Lock-It strap when I found that different guitars, with different types of strap lugs, responded to different solutions to the strap-block idea (I did not want to use conventional strap-locks for various reasons).
My MIM Strats are happy with Grolsch rubber washers, and my Casino is only happy with the Planet Waves Dual-Lock Strap Lock (also sold by L & M) because of the very narrow space between the top of the strap lug and the body.
But, apart from the Casino, this Lock-It guitar strap works on many instruments, and seems to be very effective. We will see how robust it proves to be over time.
Is it worth $26.00 for the convenience? I think it is a little expensive, but, is one of the quickest to install and remove strap lock solutions I have encountered.
