D'Addario XL ProSteels utilize a highly magnetic, corrosion-resistant steel alloy that delivers super-bright tone without shrill overtones. They offer a palette of harmonically rich, brilliantly penetrating highs combined with pronounced, tight-and-tough lows. If you need a little more crunch, bite, and sustain, ProSteels are the string for you!

these strings are amazing! i used Ernie Ball for years and i found my self getting tired of the same old strings so i wandered back over to the D'Addario side checked out the specs on these strings and wow! they make all the difference. Granted they won't be for every one but i play metal and these strings gave me that extra bite and punch i was looking for in a string that my Ernie Balls i felt were lacking. and these strings can take a beating!

I found that these strings had great sound but didnt really last to long, they lasted me about 2 weeks before they got grinded up and sounded bad because i played everyday.
