I never considered buying these nor would I have if my go to gauge and brand of strings weren't sold out. While I was trying to figure out what I should use in place of the salesman gave me a pack and asked me to try them and let him know what I thought. First I was actually surprised to see these are actual nickel strings. Yes I know they are nickel bronze but I still expected some sort of copper-ish look to them. They are incredibly smooth feeling it was a pleasant surprise, very clear and crisp notes I was surprised how little noise there was when using a pick and how smooth when finger picking. Chords chime with great projection not too tiny and very warm sounding. Overall fantastic strings really hold their tune. I just find it humorous they cost almost double compared to nickel electric strings or other acoustic strings but I guess these strings are their take on an acoustic version of their new NYXL's same high carbon steel core.
