The Maritime SWS Mahogany Burnt Umber GT, as with all SWS models, features all solid wood construction with a Select Pressure Tested solid spruce top and solid mahogany back & sides. This model features the stunning, rich & vintage look of its Burnt Umber finish, with a Gloss Top (GT) & the beautiful satin sheen of semi-gloss back & sides. Our Custom Polished Finish provides excellent protection but at the same time is extremely light and elastic. This is a crucial point in both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age - a thick finish muffles a guitar's vibration and blocks aging. This model includes Godin Quantum IT electronics with built-in tuner.

Specs:
• Scale - Long 25.5"
• Select Solid Spruce Top
• Rosewood Fingerboard & Bridge
• Backs & Sides: Solid Mahogany
• Custom Polished Finish
• Honduras Mahogany Neck
• Semi-gloss custom polished finish
• Gloss Top
• Electronics: Godin Quantum I with tuner (QIT)

This guitar is pretty as heck and plays beautifully! I've own this guitar close to a year and have no regrets. I fine Mike Hunt's review a little misleading and suspicious. Seems his comments are no more than that of a "Godin hater" and not based on experience. I mean come on! Who would buy 8 guitars from the same company if you hated everyone you bought? You would do this once ~ not 8 times! Go to any Long & McQuade, pick up any Godin guitar and it will be perfect. If you pick up a Gibson or some other manufactures guitar, one will seem a little better than the other. It's hit or miss. With Seagull, if you pick up 5 of the same model, they will play exactly the same. Try it. This is a testimate to Godin's Quality Control.

I have owned 3 La Patrie, 2 Simon & Patrick. One Seagull and one Norman. All products made by Godin. 100% of them ended up with some type of structural issue within 2 years of owning. All guitars were humidified properly, stored in cases and never gigged. Do yourself a favour and if you are too cheap or unable to buy an American made entry level used Gibson or Martin for the same price, buy a Yamaha and save yourself years. There is no debate to be had, pick up your prized seagull and then pick up a J-15 or a 00-15M and you will understand what I?m talkinh about.

This Seagull Maritime plays as awesome as it looks! Great features and perfectly hand-crafted. A keeper! Comes with a pick guard - but I?m reluctant to use it as I don?t use a pick. Don?t even think twice about this one at this price,

I?ve spent months testing out a variety of guitars - and there are no competitors in this price range for this quality and performance.

Had the seagull maritime sws since early 2017, and have yet to put it down. -the guitar is easy to play, even without a set up, -it has great string action(i prefer lower action) -sound is clear and bright, neck is very comfortable for your fret hand. -the sound quality of the Godin pickup is just excellent (great bass and treble adjustments make the ideal tone) this alone was a selling point for me. Overall the design and small things on this guitar make it worth the buck, which is not unrealistic to what your getting in this package. Seagull has definitely put out an all wood classic that will exceed many peoples expectations.
