The 200-watt ultra-compact DW10 has been designed from the ground up to handle wide dynamic range and transient nature of modern electronic drum kits easily and effectively. Ideal for stage, private practice or rehearsal hall, the Traynor DW10 drum amplifier uses a compact wedge monitor format and a high power low distortion 10-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver on a PA style horn to deliver maximum tone and clarity.

Three discrete stereo input channels with stereo XLR balanced DI output make the DW10 a perfect small mixer solution for live applications. Channels 2 and 3 can bypass the DI output so monitor feeds or metronome sources can be mixed into the DW10, but not sent to the Front-of-House PA - making the DW10 combo the ideal monitoring solution for the working drummer.

Solid plywood cabinet construction and an all metal grille ensure unmatched long term ruggedness and reliability.

I have had this for over a year now and have used it at home also, during auditions and jams. The sound quality is perfect and you can easily adjust volume. It's also Stereo. I suggest having a mixer with your electronic drum running to it. Far easier to tweak the volume without having to go to the unit. Works awesome for the sound coming from the drums not the PA! Perfect Stage Size!

Coming from a smaller practice amp, this one delivers the power to keep up with the rest of the band while jamming/practicing, and then some. Traynor is apparently Latin for "now hear me" (I've experienced their older guitar amps). The various inputs/outputs give some great flexibility for performing, or even recording. The DI output is a thoughtful addition, good for piping the signal to a PA (or whatever else that should take a DI signal) while still monitoring the sound from the amp itself. I use it for sending the signal to my smaller amp, placed next to me for monitoring my playing, while the Traynor is positioned further away from me for my band mates to hear. This amp delivers on volume, but I find that the drum sounds from my electronic kit aren't reproduced quite as faithfully with this amp as with my other amp, or as they're heard from just headphones with the kit. A bit less bright with this amp, although it's more noticeable at higher volume (I'm no audio engineer, so maybe that's to be expected). It's not a drastic difference, but when using two amps together at the same volume, it's noticeable to my ears. Each channel on this amp has only treble and bass dials, which helps shape the sound, but given the rest of the amp's features, it's far from a deal breaker. When playing with the rest of the band, it's a non-issue. The construction is indeed very rugged, and it's designed like a floor monitor, so that the sound carries upward a bit. It's not as heavy as you'd think, either. Very well built. Did not think I'd have to shell out for a second amp when I got my e-drum kit, but very glad I did.

Tried several speaker-amps to get a believable drum sound from my Roland TD-50. Headphones sound and imaging was accurate and believable. Tried a Yorkville YPF -10 which didn’t have much bottom end. Roland PM-10 monitor was weak and even toms were distorted (now discontinued I believe). Even tried a Peavey keyboard amp. as an alternative. These simply don’t cover the frequency spectrum or provide the sound you hear in your headphones. The powerful and well-constructed Traynor delivers the low BD thuds, floor toms, up to the highest of Roland’s digital ride cymbal with ease, (with some EQ for drums as previously mentioned). Probably the most compact and economical way to deliver an E-kit other than investing in a dedicated PA

Bought it for home use and jamming with friends...it is powerful and has a clear adjustable sound. I use it with my Roland TD17 KVX kit and it sounds great. It also use it with an Alesis Nitro & a Yamaha DTX450 and they both sound great. It is a little pricey ...but you only get what you pay for.. Special thanks to Tony B at L&M Dartmouth, N.S. for suggesting I rent a new one...... which I quickly purchased !!

Bought it about a year ago. I use it for a stage monitor and it works great. I was having trouble sending signal from my Roland SPD30 to the mixer. But plugging it into this and sending it through the DI out into the board fixed that problem. I also use it for micing my cajoun with the Roland Clip mic and compressor. Works great! My only gripe is that it'd be nice if it had an xlr for a mic. But a simple 1/4inch to xlr female cord can fix that. Excellent product!

I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a try. Initially, I was rather disappointed with its performance as a electric drum amp. I used it with a Yamaha DTX drum pad. However, when I finally got it dialled in properly, It was amazing, even though I did have to dial in more Gain than I was used to. I now love it and was not sorry that I spent way too much on a drum amp than I had intended on doing. The real kicker was that when I attached a Keyboard to it and I was blown away!!! My workstation sounded amazing. Even better than the more expensive Yorkville studio monitors that I own. In addition, I can carry it with ease and it looks good! Do not be afraid! This is a real good buy!!

Traynor thought this through when they designed this gem of an edrum amp. I bought two for a stereo effect with my Roland TD-25 and Roland TD-12 V-Drum Kits on stage but because these are designed in stereo you could run your edrums no problem with one amp. I've been using Roland drums since 2002 with my original kit the TD-10 Concert Kit, so I've gone through a lot of amps with V-Drums and I can say that I love this Traynor DW10. Features, I give a 5 out of 5. It's loaded with features and I love the DI and EQ send capabilities. Quality, I give a 4.5 because I still believe that a 10 inch speaker is low on the scale of recommended speaker size for edrums, but this little amp's low distortion rate can handle the low frequency of the bass drum very well and I tested that theory by cranking up the bass, master volume and channel volume then hitting my bass drum and I rattled the windows. Yes, if you crank it up all the way it'll distort, but that's at full power and any amp would be doing the same. Value, I gave a 4 out of 5, because it is pricey, but any alternative could cost more and this has features like the DI & EQ send that allows you to run XLR to a PA System then flip them around as on stage monitors, so the value does make it an advantage. Overall, I gave 4.5 and for most edrummers it's a 5 out of 5 but I play live indoor and outdoor shows that has me coming up with an extra speaker as a monitor at my kit on stage, so I need a 3rd amp with my onstage setup, but that's not the fault of the Traynor DW10. Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
