I had tried using a mixer with USB, and the direct computer audio inputs, but could never get a consistent latency, so audio multitrack recording was difficult. With this interface, it works well; and I can even use a MIDI keyboard to trigger VST's on the computer with no annoying delay. (Win7, Quad core laptop, 2G memory), so not a real high-end computer.

I'm not sure what "Ultra low latency" is being compared to but this thing is useless for me triggering Addictive Drums through Reaper. Might be passable for digitizing records or for a cheap digital output soundcard. Got down to maybe 12 ms (according to reaper) before the sound quality got far worse.
