I mix for a band that uses these mics for all their vocals. These mics have a nice warm, detailed sound to them. With the band I mix for, all the members sing harmony vocals together and these mics are easy to tailor to each voice. These mics also sound really good with female vocalists! The D5s are just a wonderful microphone to mix with! At $159.00 they are more expensive than the industry standard Shure SM58 but, in my opinion they are worth it.
