Affordable 5-piece electronic drum set
The 5-piece DTXPLORER kit includes high-impact rubber pads with natural feel and rebound, mounted on a sturdy folding ribbed rack. In addition, the DTXPLORER kit also features an FP-6110 bass drum pedal and coded cabling snake for quick and easy setup.
Amazingly realistic sounds from tone module
At the heart of the DTXPLORER is a compact drum trigger module, equipped with a 16-bit/32-note polyphony tone generator that produces amazingly realistic, physically modeled voices - 214 drum and percussion sounds, 22 preset songs and 32 preset drum kits covering rock, funk, jazz, reggae and Latin styles-plus a selection of digital onboard effects. Users can also create and store up to nine custom kits. The DTXPLORER module also includes the Groove Check practice feature, a multi-function metronome, easy-view backlit LCD display and simple "plug and play" connections.
Play along to CDs or MP3s
It's easy to connect devices such as a CD player or MP3 player to the DTXPLORER module via the Aux In jack. Plus, hook your DTXPLORER up to your PC or Mac computer via MIDI to record your playing or play back sequenced drum parts. In addition, the DTXPLORER module can be used with a traditional acoustic drum kit as a standalone trigger module when you use separate triggers.

If you're working in a school environment you'll be glad to know that the DTXPLORER will easily integrate with the new Yamaha LC2 modular music lab system for teaching and group learning applications. The 32 factory programmed kits give you a wide variety of kits that can be used in almost any musical situation. The 10 user kits allow you to build custom kits using any of the 214 voices for your particular needs as a musician.
GROOVE CHECK WITH RHYTHM GATE
The DTXPL module has our popular Groove Check function, but takes it to the next level as a learning tool. You can engage the Rhythm Gate so that when you play out of time the module will mute the drums until you get back in time with the click.
MULTI ZONE INPUTS
The snare input will acept a three zone pad giving you the head, rim shot, and cross stick sounds. The cymbal inputs will accept dual zone cymbals and allow cymbal choking.
