Description
Flutists agree that the most important features of a flute are the headjoint and the scale. The headjoint must be responsive and flexible; the scale must be accurate and well-balanced from the top of the register to the bottom. Every Sonare flute is shipped with a Verne Q. Powell Flute Signature headjoint made completely of sterling silver. These headjoints are made at the Powell shop by the same headjoint makers who create the same headjoints for Powell's Handmade Custom flutes.
Powell Flutes have been made in the Boston area since 1927 and have always been known for "The Powell Sound" which, in large part, comes from the headjoints made by the incredibly skilled headjoint makers at the shop. the Powell headjoint and scale assure that Sonare flutes bear a strong resemblance to Powell Flutes.
