I bought this sweet baby at longueuil's store with Katherine. Great service as always. Its my 7th guitar. I own Gibson, fender, Seagull, Ibanez... and this one is just awesome! The sound, the feel, the look, are just amazing. Dont waist your hardly earned money on a 3-4000$ bucks Martin, Gibson, give it a try, and its made here. Give your money to canadian guitar maker, specialy in covid time. Im totaly in love with it! I just cant let it in its a case. Just nees to give her a name now

High quality and good value guitar. You will do very well to get a Western-made, all-solid-wood guitar at a better price. Looks great, sounds good and a very comfortable size.

with a beautiful burst harkening to ‘30s Gibsons. I also appreciate the smaller size for comfort when seated. The sound is warm and clear, but the chunky neck and fretboard just isn’t for me. When fingering cords,!it is hard to get clean sounds. Otherwise, it is a great value. Best for fingerstyle, bending is stiff.

This guitar has an awsome sound, balanced with strong mid, a great playability out if the box and a beautiful finish. I play mostly fingerstyle with a thumbpick folk, blues and country style as Travis picking, but it is a very versatile guitar. In my experience, Godin electro are not great, so I put a K n K mini in that works perfectly. 4.5 for the quality because of minor comsetic flaws, but they are normal for a guitar at this price point. I have it since 1 year and the top really opened up. Buy if you like old style axes.

This is probably the best guitar for its value. This features solid wood. No electronics but that’s okay. Not the loudest guitar with a pick but definitely not quite either. Binding is not exactly 100% perfect but is really close. If you look very carefully some parts are just the slightest bit thicker than others but it is symmetrical. It’s clearly the best guitar in its price range. Overall a great guitar.

After playing for about 35 years I thought it was time for a Martin or a Taylor you know an heirloom instrument to pass on to the kids. I liked then but just wasn't finding the one. ( in the under 1200$ price range) a good friend said go in and play everything so I did. I already own a songsmith so I don't know why I didn't try Sand P but this guitar is just amazing. It costs easily 3 times as much to get a similarly specd Gibson or Martin and I doubt the wood is as good. As a hard hitter I don't need a dreadnaught for volume and I love the smaller body size. This thing has become my go to and I play daily. Holds tune very well and I go to open tunings and use capos and I am always impressed. Get one if you can but the news is out I think there's one in Canada and a 2 year waiting list for a new one

I love everything about my pro-folk, that it's made in Canada, the smaller size, it looks beautiful and it plays even more beautifully. Stays in tune, plays clean, clear and crisp...this has been a true joy learning to play on.

I just bought this guitar last week after discovering it a few months ago at my local L&M. What a lovely instrument. It is pretty as prom queen and has a sweet, sweet tone. The action is perfect and the quality to price ration is off the charts. I was smitten by the classic touches such as the old school burst, slotted headstock and open butter bean tuners. The high gloss finish is perfect. Just a really nice OM-size guitar. Doesn't come with a case, which adds a bit to the cost, but the Yorkville classical guitar case I bought with it fits like they were made for each other. If you look closely, there are a few finish oversights that are not visible unless you look closely and that you would not find in a $3000 guitar, such as a bit a roughness inside the headstock slots, and a bit of laquer on the end of the fretboard, but these are not noticeable unless you look very closely. Overall this guitar is a winner; I love it.

I flat picked this guitar for a while, then just finger picked it. With the pick, it was nice, finger picked it was a joy! Very pure, very honest.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
