The new MARK FIVE: 35, in both traditional compact Boogie 1x12 Combo and 19" Head formats, provides a greatest hits collection of Mesa Boogie's renowned Mark Series circuits from 3 decades. The new MARK FIVE: 35 features 2 Independent Channels, 6 Modes (include Clean, Fat, Crunch, Mark IIC+, Mark IV and Xtreme), Channel Independent Solo & Built-in CabClone.

This all-tube amplifier combines the power of the MARK FIVE preamp with Mesa's exclusive Dyna-Watt 4xEL84 power section, creating a mid-power MARK amp of unprecedented horsepower with ultra portability, clip-ability and high-speed, tactile expressiveness. The harmonic complexity and lushness combined with the higher, tighter Bass frequencies EL84s impart creates a whole new sound. Brighter, tighter, more shredding in the top end, a bit more forgiving in feel and exceedingly more clip-able, the FIVE: 35 is right on time.

To further bolster its stage-ready resume, Mesa Boogies has added a Channel Independent SOLO feature, a long-spring tank for the all-tube Reverb, the complete set of Voicing Choices from CabClone with the addition of the VINTAGE voicing mode to its on-board DI Output, and an upgraded Footswitch for access to the new footswitchable choices.

Features:

MID/BOOST
You'll find added tone shaping in Channel 1 via the MID/BOOST feature on the MARK FIVE: 35. From 0 to 5 on the MID/BOOST you will find the normal range of a standard MID control in a condensed form. From 5 to 10 on the MID/BOOST, a wonderful graduation of overdrive possibilities unfolds, enhancing gain over a broad midrange spectrum and increasing the versatility of each of the 3 Modes in Channel 1. CLEAN and FAT give way to furry and howling, while CRUNCH rolls past Classic Rock to unleash Metal rhythms and molten layers of harmonic complexity for Lead work.

Boogie EQ
The legendary BOOGIE 5-Band Graphic EQ provides the ultimate in sonic flexibility. Dial your sound in with the standard Tone controls and if further shaping is desired, employ the targeted power of the 5-Band Graphic EQ and tweak as you see fit.

SOLO CONTROLS
Independent SOLO Controls for each Channel offer an additional volume level that you can call up during performance using the MARK FIVE: 35 Footswitch.

HEADPHONE OUTPUT
The MARK FIVE: 35 includes a HEADPHONE Output for personal enjoyment of the amplifier when it is not possible or convenient to play through a speaker.

CABCLONE D.I.
The MARK FIVE: 35 upgrades include additions to the on-board CABCLONE D.I. feature, which now offers three classic cabinet simulated VOICING Modes and gives you the full feature set of the stand-alone CABCLONE D.I. minus the OUTPUT control.

Boogie Mark V 35 - Not just a regular amp 2 of 2 customers found this review helpful

I've had the V 35 head for 5 days now. I also own an Express 5:25+, which I love playing with. Wanted something with more oomph, versatility and to go along with my two Mesa 1x12 mini recto cabs. I have seen most of the reviews and videos and had to rely on those to purchase as both the V 25 and V 35 are virtually non existent in stores. I debated spending this much money on a head but decided to pull the trigger. When it arrived, I was impressed by the way it was packaged. That was just the beginning of my over the top impression of this amp. Built like a tank. Super detailed and immensely useful user manual. A must read. Plugged it in and dialed in some factory sample settings. All my guitars sound so much better. The amp is so articulate and responsive to my playing. The cleans are sparkling clean and with a bit of gain to bring it up to almost breakup. The mid boost is brilliant. Now it does take some time to learn how to use the amp as the controls interact with each other and your really have to understand them to effectively use the amp. Not a big deal. Read the manual (twice if you have to) and start with the factory samples. They are a great starting point. Then adjust to your liking. This thing will do sparkling cleans and all the way to mayhem extremes, but you always feel the sound is under control and not just noise. Now this thing is really loud. I can't imagine how loud the V 90 must be. Bringing it to my next rehearsal along with one 1x12 cab. So much easier to transport a small head and a small cab. At my age, running around with even a 2x12 is a chore. Overall, this is quite an impressive amp. It doesn't pretend to sound like anything else. The Mark IIc+ and the Mark IV settings are superb. No buyers remorse here. My only somewhat negative opinion, is that this is not a cheap amp, but then again, this not a run of the mill amp. If you can try one somewhere, do it.. Oh, I ordered it on a Friday, and it arrived the following Monday. Now that's service!

Bought this in June at the Pembina Winnipeg location. This amp is PHENOMENAL! I keep the channels at 10 watts and that's more than enough to see the versatility and potential. In days gone by, this brand was at the high end, price-wise. Now, with the plethora of amp brands out there, the Boogie is positioned at the lower end of the higher priced bracket. Lot's of features, its smaller size, and the remarkable sound will have you saying, "I never need another amp !!"

I do Diezel Herbert and to be honest, Mesa Mark 5 holds low chords a bit better. I really like how it sounds. Don't think twice before buying it. Just dial in the right sound and it's going to impress you

I own a peavey 6505 120 Watt Head, so playing at home is not really possible. I wanted something that could really do it all: gig, play at home, record easily, excellent cleans, crushing gain and portability without sacrificing anything. A lot of lunchbox heads nowadays miss the mark (no pun intended) when compared to their bigger brothers. And I have to say that the mini-Mark V’s really do not. You can go check A-B videos all over the internet (mostly with the V:25), and you’ll see that they stack up insanely well to the full-on Mark V papa. I’m extremely impressed by everything. Now, I had some uncharacteristic problems with mine when I got it (tubes flaring up in low-wattage modes). It was chalked up to be just some sub-par wiring on the main board on Mesa’s part. It had me concerned, but I haven’t had any issues with it since the repair (about four months ago). I love it!

This amp has changed my life. I have a basement jam room and forever have been in search of that perfect tone. Now I have found you! The ability to run a wonderful Clean/Fat on channel 1 and switch over to the most menacing and thick chug with Extreme on channel 2 has blown me away. The solo feature really cuts through on both channels... Worth the extra 300 bucks over the 25. This amp is loud but the 30 watt channel is noticeably more robust to the 25 or 10 watt options. I am fortunate to have added this to a fine collection of McQuade gear...take some time with it and the Mark V 35 will reward you.

I've played and owned Many fine tube amps over the yrs and avoided boggles like the plague because of all the knobs and switches on them, I don't need to be fiddling around trying to dial in my tone with something like that, thanks but no tnx. Few weeks ago, I had someone mention how much they loved their Boogie so I thought why not let's check em out. I research Everything heavily before laying my dollars over and after extensive reviews and all the you tube clips I could find on the Mark V-25, I thought man I gotta have a closer look. Turned out the V25 I initially thought I wanted ended up being the V-35 I test drove. Thankfully I compared both a V-35 combo and head and custom 2X12 cab I already owned and there was no comparison which stands to reason. I knew I didn't want to lug a cumbersome 2X12 cab around so I looked into Mesa's Wide Compact single 12" open and closed back. I A/B'ed both cabs at same time and the open back suited me better for classic rock and blues although they both sounded great. Mesa's aren't cheap for good reason and their team incorporating 6 different legendary Mesa presets into this one amp plus the option of 10/25/35 watt and also EQ and amazing foot switchable options, there's absolutely no tone this amps not capable of delivering. Up for sale is my Killer Swart STR, vintage blackface Princeton reverb, Custom Vibrolux, and all 3 of my pedal boards Except my One Delay pedal. This Mesa Mark V-35 head and Mesa Wide Openback single 12 has Far Exceeded my expectations. What a tone monster with All the power I'll ever need. Thanks to the team at both London L&M locations for working with me and preciously why I don't shop Anywhere else for my gear. Go get a Mesa and prove to yourself their not as over complicated as we've told ourselves they are. You might be as thrilled as I am.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
