This is my 3rd 12 string. I bought this one specifically for outdoor use and adverse elements. I've owned it for a year now. Its held up better than expected , stays in tune well. Sound is ok. I've owned cheap guitars in the past, and pre-anticipated a hateful experience. This was not the case. I've been very happy with it. Its not my favorite guitar by any stretch, but there is a very different price point between this one and my "go to" For me, an excellent value and an excellent guitar for its price. Action is good, and has stayed straight so far. Sound is tinnier than I like, and it misses the volume and full tones when compared to a higher quality guitar, but its 1/10th the cost. I would by another in a heartbeat, I would even recommend as a beginners guitar as it stays in tune and is easy to play. Maybe I got lucky, but very impressed with the value. Far surpassed my expectations.

Was the first acoustic guitar I bought, because I already had an electric 6-string and I wanted something with a way different sound. It played great but I personally found it hard making barre chords close to the nut, by my friend who only plays acoustics tried it out and had no problems with it, so it was probably just me being unfamiliar with acoustics. I had it for over a years, until I put it down in a guitar stand one day, and while I wasn't look it tipped over and fell fretboard down and the headstock broke of at about a 30 degree angle from the nut. :/ So now I've got a bunch 12-string parts and no actual guitar to use them on. It was probably a freak accident, but I thought it was worth putting here.

Got this 12 String as a Christmas present, and couldn’t believe the sound and feel. Unless you are looking for a 12 string in the upper price range this is all you can’t beat this value and sound.

I was on a quest for a 12 string recently, I played every 12 string I could get my hands on in the city, this was my #2 pick, regardless of price point. It sounded rich and full, only downside was that it was evident that it was a lower tier guitar from the fretwork and the action, the top also had the beginnings of a bit of bellying. I have no idea how long this would last, and it might take some work to get it exactly playing how you want it, but for the price, the sound was truly fantastic and you could do far worse than picking up one of these. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I bought this guitar from the Cambridge Ontario location today, my first ever new guitar and yeah over the years I monkied around with used stuff but at 52 I wanted to learn on a 12 string. When I got home I started practicing and it is now midnight and finally called it quits for today. The sound is awesome I'm in love. The staff at the Cambridge location were amazing and I was treated very well. YOU GUYS ROCK!! Looking forward to another 12 string purchase in the future but this time in electric, that is once I can play well enough lol. For now a big thanks to the staff

When a guitar lasts 40 years with no issues, it must be a good guitar. Yes I've had this 12 string Denver for 40 years. I bought it at Long and McQuade in Toronto. Action was bad for years until I took it in and had it professionally set up at Long and McQuade in Cambridge. No problems at all it sounds great. I love this guitar will never sell it.

I saw this 12 string in a store in New Minas, tried it and loved the sound quality. Bridges felt a little high as you had to press hard to get the chords sounding right. Decided to check out a store in Bedford to see if they had the same model and compare the sound quality. They had one in stock and strung it up for me to try. Again the same great sound but also had the high bridge issues. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and offered to fix the set up and lower the bridge top and bottom. Picked it up 2 days later and it sounds and plays awesome, for a great price.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
