SpectraComp Bass Compressor is the tiniest big thing to hit the world of bass in a long time. This ultra-compact and highly intuitive multiband compressor is made to bring out all of the glorious low-end punch and presence of your beloved bass in the most transparent and musical way you've ever heard. Just turn it on and take charge of the groove.

SpectraComp Bass Compressor contains the same high-quality MD3 dynamics engine known from T.C.'s studio production powerhouse, System 6000. A dynamics engine that has been used on countless hit-records and massive blockbuster movie productions. This advanced algorithm applies perfectly tweaked compression for your high, mid and low frequencies to create a more unified and balanced sound where your low strings never overtake your highs, something that's simply not possible with the one-size-fits-all compression known from a typical stompbox. This way you'll get a tight and punchy attack, with endless sustain all without ever compromising the natural low-end response of your bass.

TonePrint Deep Dynamic Editing

Via the free editor you can customize your own compression tone through a wealth of deep editing parameters, so it suits your rig perfectly. You can also try on custom pre-made tones via the free app for Android and iOS. Tone tweaking just leveled up.

The spectra comp sounds absolutely amazing, is simple to use with the toneprint app for people who are new to the idea of compressing their bass, yet it still has so much tonal versatility and it sounds so amazing. So many amazing different presets through toneprint and if you buy the USB adapter so you have the option to set all the different parameters yourself as well, not that I need to, as there are so many free available presets for this thing in the toneprint app, with more on the way apperentley. Only flaw I can think of is that the pedal casing is made of heavy plastic rather than metal, so it's probably slightly less durable (although I haven't had any issues).

Until now. Only had to try it for a couple of minutes to decide to buy it. Knowing TC, you can change every possible parameter as well as use the tone print - for me it seems perfect right out of the box. From transparent to super-compressed all with one knob.

I love this pedal. I leave it on all the time. I agree with the other review that you get a great, ?produced? bass sound. It is a tri band compressor and although it only has one knob, the settings are detailed with the software editor. I love the fact that it's only one knob. And there are lots of presets you could easily change to on the fly, and you can create your own. Great great pedal!

I leave this switched on all the time. It is the only thing I've used on stage that sounds close to a well produced recording of a bass. The mulit-band compression gives a full solid even sound without sounding compressed. Bringing up the high end does not crush the low end and vice versa ? unless that is what you want. The tone prints can change the whole character of the pedal with just a zap from your cell phone. Once you get what you want, all you have to do is choose how much of it you want with the single knob. I haven't even bothered with all the parameters in the software interface. The only reason I didn't give full marks for features is because some people might want more knobs, but not me. This is perfect for me.
