This guitar plays and sounds as good as it looks, which is great. For the price you cant go wrong and it even has a great quality hardshell case. Epiphone thought of everything. The only thing i could pick on is the strap buttons. They have a tapered shape and even a brand new strap slips off the front button easily. Its a simple fix but im suprised the good people at epiphone didnt catch this. All the same i love it as much as my Les Paul. Keep up the good work Epiphone and thanks

Wow a great guitar at a great price. I bought this new from long and mcquade, the finish is perfect the guitar plays great right out of the box. After a week I changed the strings to a set of elixirs and it sounds even better. It's a perfect size great sound without breaking the bank. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a mid priced guitar that has the quality of much more expensive models. thanks to the guys at long and mcquade

Picked this up from the Long and Mcquade in Regina, fantastic guitar, the service the L&M Regina is top notch aswell. Guitar feels amazing, frets will need some dressing but that's minor, guitars action was perfect right out of the box and it plays and sounds like a dream

Love playing this. Purchased Dec. 2021 on sale. Includes case. Absolutely beautiful and lovely to play. Great features. Love the built in tuner. Stays in tune for a long time. Super comfortable with the satin neck. Overall a great instrument that I plan on using for years. Buy it. You will not be disappointed. For due diligence, I tried out every other guitar available in the acoustic section at L&M, and even though I had the budget to spend more, this is the guitar that felt and sounded the best, so I bought it. I also own an Epiphone electric and a strat electric. This is my go-to acoustic.

I've been playing electric for almost two decades on and off and have 5 electrics currently but never really dwelled into acoustics. After getting the itch I've decided to get this one as a beginner acoustic player I didn't want to invest too much and I like that it comes with a hard case. As for the electronics, I'd probably prefer it didn't (let's be serious, as a beginner you won't need to plug into an amp and give a concert to a large audience anyhow) but I won't complain they're there in a case I end up needing them one day. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the craftsmanship, the guitar is built very well, the fretboard feels very good to play on and the edges are soft and nice, and the cutaway makes is very approachable to play coming from the electric background. Straight out of the box the guitar was not in tune and the action is quite high, but probably OK if all you want to do is strum. It was still quite playable but I will definitely try to improve the action. Not sure what the strings on it are, but I am assuming you can get better ones. The sound of it from the box was quite decent, I am quite happy with it. I find the guitar well built and easy to play. It's not very loud, so if you want to increase your volume you'll have to pick harder or plug into an amp. I'd definitely recommend this guitar to a beginner. (bonus tip: I've found the E logo on the pickguard very tacky and dollar-shop like, so I've removed it easily by sliding my pick underneath it and wash down glue residue with alcohol. I think it looks far better now :)

This guitar taught me how to play! Just you in a room with this guitar is all you’ll need starting you. Don’t get too excited about the electric portion, its tonally useless. However, the tuner on it works great and if you just forget about that pick-up in there all of the sudden its one of the best guitars at this price point. Nice sustain, limited fret buzz, reliable tuning, etc. Longterm wear/quality: the fret material is somewhat soft, I found in the first 6 months of bendy playing i started to groove under the strings. Also at the bottom each fret has pushed a little downward/outward and this just means you might experience cracking of your finish at the fret and slight scalloping will occur down the outer edge. Other than that I’ve been pretty rough on this guitar and i only cracked the varnish once, the fretboard is great and tuning i tend to leave for a week at a time! bang it around, have a good time, teach yourself, this is your guitar!

Bought this guitar in April as my first ever guitar. I've been practicing with it for three months now and absolutely love this guitar. It comes with a hardshell case incorporated into the price and I had no clue how good of a deal that was! Built well and comes with the cable to hook up to an amp. Very satisfied with this purchase and will always shop with long and mcquade.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
