PreSonus Eris-series studio monitors are used worldwide by audio engineers who need to hear every detail of their recordings. Ideal for gaming and home video production, the Eris E3.5 employs the same technology as the larger Eris models to deliver studio-quality sound, with a smooth and accurate frequency response. Yet they're compact enough to fit almost anywhere.

Every Eris-series studio monitor utilizes a custom-woven Kevlar low-frequency driver. The weave and nature of the Eris E3.5's 3.5-inch Kevlar woofer result in a more constant dispersion pattern throughout the frequency range, resulting in less time-smeared audio and cleaner overall sound. The Eris E3.5 is equipped with a one-inch silk-dome tweeter that produces a smooth and refined sound, accurately reproducing transients and high frequencies. The tweeter is designed to radiate sound with a fairly wide dispersion pattern, creating a large optimal listening area or "sweet spot" so you can move around and still hear everything accurately.

With three different types of audio inputs, it's easy to feed audio to your Eris monitors from a mixer, an interface, a media player, or almost any other line-level source. The Eris E3.5 is equipped with rear-panel, 1/4-inch TRS and RCA inputs, as well as front-panel 1/8-inch stereo, unbalanced line inputs for use with mobile audio devices. With this selection, youll have no problem hooking your Eris speakers up with virtually any line-level source, including your smartphone or tablet. The loud, clear, front-panel headphone amplifier lets you work and play in stealth mode, without disturbing your housemates.

Features:
• 3.5-inch (89 mm) Kevlar low-frequency transducer
• 1-inch (25 mm), ultra-low-mass, silk-dome, high-frequency transducer
• Rear-firing acoustic port for superior bass-frequency reproduction
• Optimized, resonance-suppressing internal bracing
• High- and low-frequency tuning controls
• Front-panel Volume control for speakers and headphone amplifier
• 50 watt (25W/side), Class AB biamplification
• RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature, transient, and subsonic protection
• Amplifier soft start feature eliminates popping on power-up
• Internal power supply with IEC connector
• Power switch with on/off LED
• Balanced 1/4-inch TRS, unbalanced 1/8-inch stereo, and RCA inputs
• Integrated stereo headphone amplifier with front-panel 1/8-inch output

These are such great speakers. I wanted to do some light recording as well as hooking up my guitar amp modeller pedal for practicing at home. I basically went for the most affordable monitor option and was pleasantly surprised at the sound and built quality.

What a pleasant surprise I had, once I hooked up these monitors on my home studio's audio interface and played the first song from my music collection, simply nice full balance sound with solid bottom to quickly decide the bass content of my songs. Great choice for limited space, easy listening levels

These could have been the best monitor under 500...Tweeters are amazing and 3.5 woofer are unreal .very flat to me .but the built in limiter is bad for loud volume. so at low volume this is great for a small room. My best monitor so far ( and ive own the A7 Adam s before) and they translate better to other sound system like a King. Ps next version 2.0 please cut the limiter. PLEASE

After buying an M-Audio Keystation 61 MK3 as a gift for my 15 year old daughter, I decided to grab her a pair of monitors just to get her going with a little mini studio setup. They were recommended to me by one of the Pro Audio guys at the Bloor location. WOW. As soon as I started playing some of my favourite tracks through them, I was really blown away at the frequency response and detail. I come from an audio post background and found these to be an insane value for the money. Tons of input options and the build quality is top notch. My own complaint is the speaker wire that runs from one speaker to another. I find it kind of unsightly. I'm probably going to have to get a pair for myself as I never realized how much I missed a good set of monitors. Very highly recommended. PS. They come with a whole bunch of free downloads which only increases the value here. Well done Presonus!

I’ve had computer speakers in the past but this is the first time that I’ve bought audio monitors. Just wow. The sound is so crystal clear that for the first time listening to music from my pc I can tell each individual track on a song apart, where the sound is coming from (left or right), everything is so clear and great bass and clarity. Even watching an old boxing match on YouTube from the 80s I can hear what the people in the audience are shouting. I plugged my digital piano into this and it sounded great. I definitely recommend.

Product Experience   I've heard about it

After reviewing the reviews on these monitors, I put a deposit on them at the local store and waited a few weeks for them to arrive. Took them home, hooked them up with great anticipation, turned on power switch and ... nothing. No power led, no music, nothing ... DEAD out of the box! Talk about major quality control fail. Took them back and unfortunately the store did not have any more in stock. I ended up having to order them again. Will now be a few more weeks. And I still haven't even heard them. Not Long McQuade's fault, they were great and no problem handling the return. This falls squarely on Presonus. Not exactly confidence inspiring.

so I have finally "cashed out" the WHOPPING 200 buck those cost..... at first, running them through UX1 line6, meh, its ok, it worth the money, no complaints, zero disappointments but then..............you run them through my buddy"s presonus interface at higher volumes........and those monitors become Ferrari, Lamborghini, Astin Martin, Bentley, Maserati and everything else you can think of. those monitors give you ability to have a civil conversation with a person next to you and if you live in semidetached home, have your neighbors be calling police for noise violations once again buy them P.S. my friend and i like the 3.5 so much, that we can both say with confidence " do not be stupid and by the step up version, E5 is it?"

These are really great little monitors. For general PC use they rock and easily overwhelm monitors marketed for PC sound reproduction. I appreciate the built in eq. for placement which really helps. As monitors for mixing, they are very clear and neutral. They don't have the low response that a larger monitor would, but it's still very clear and decent. I also have the Eris 4.5 which has more bass response but may be too big for a computer desk that has pretty tight real estate.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
