Mike began his musical journey with guitar at 14 years old, inspired by the musical genius of Jimi Hendrix. In a short amount of time, he was playing in local bands around Toronto. After studying classical guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Music, and studying performing arts at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Mike went on with a succession of bands, touring Canada. Mike has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2013. His rate is $31 per half hour.

Originally from Scotland Neil came to Canada at the age of eight. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 and became interested in Jazz as a teenager after hearing Wes Montgomery and John Abercrombie. He has studied with Reg Schwager and Lorne Lofsky at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario and studied Jazz arranging with the late Dave McMurdo and Mike Malone. As well, he attended the Banff Jazz program in 1996, and a Jazz intensive with Don Thompson at Humber College studying with John Handy, Sonny Greenwich, John Abercrombie. Well versed in many musical genres, Neil has played everything from Jazz to Rock to Country to Funk and R&B. Neil has played with Kenny Wheeler, Don Thompson, John Sherwood, John Davidson, Fred Travelina, Ralf Buschmeyer, Aaron Young, Mike Malone, Henri Brown, John Faddis, PJ Perry, members of the Philosopher Kings, and Jack Soul, as well as the Calgary Philharmonic orchestra and Theatre Calgary. Neil has been an active freelancer, and teacher in Calgary since 2010. Neil offers lessons in Calgary at the North store and his rate is $31 per half hour.

English guitarist Sam Coulson has toured the world as a member of British Prog Rock band ASIA. In 2019 & Early 2020 Sam took lead guitar duties for Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ musical production and gave the show its NYC debut at Madison Square Gardens. Sam has also played and worked along side Paul Gilbert, Guthrie Govan, Tony MacApline and Walter Trout to name a few. Since 2010 Sam has been a signed Artist with Jamtrackcentral. Sam's youtube Channel has 25,000 subscribers globally. Sam has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2015. His rate is $33 per half hour.

Music Enthusiast born and raised in Calgary. Huge passion for music and his career. He has played guitar for a majority of his life and has earned a degree in Classical Guitar Performance. There is nothing he would rather do than teach those who desire to learn. Spencer has had the privilege of studying with Dominic Miller, the guitarist of Sting, the Los Angeles Guitar Trio as well as the Montreal Guitar Trio. Spencer is always looking forward to the future of music and what the future has prepared for the guitar! Spencer has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2014. Steven Dorscher completed his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Calgary under the guidance of Dr. Ralph Maier. He has performed across Canada and the United States as a solo artist, and in chamber music groups. Received master classes from big name guitarists such as Marc Taicholz, Daniel Bolshoy, Jérôme Ducharme, Jeffery McFadden and Duo-Assad among numerous others. As of 2015, Steven has been on the Board of Directors for the Classical Guitar Society of Calgary. Although he plays mostly Classical Guitar, he is proficient in all styles of guitar playing including Pop, Blues, Rock, Heavy Metal and Progressive. With an emphasis on technique and theory, Steven knows what the beginning guitarist needs, and can provide sound advice and help for the intermediate and advanced players. Steven has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2013. His rate is $33 per half hour.
