Joshua received his Bachelors of Music from the University of Calgary. Joshua is a member of the Civic Symphony Orchestra and plays with various local chamber ensembles. He also performs frequently at weddings, churches, corporate events, and parties. Joshua is an avid teacher and is passionate about sharing his experiences and various learning techniques with his students. He has experience working with students of all ages and levels. His students successfully participate in Royal Conservatory examinations as well as local festivals and he believes that everyone can learn and enjoy the violin with hard work and dedication. Joshua has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2022. His rate is $33 per half hour.

Roberta holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees summa cum laude from the University of Southern California. She has played with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, the Downey Symphony Orchestra, and the Calgary Civic Symphony, and has been the concertmaster of the USC Thornton Symphony and the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra under conductors including Valery Gergiev and Carl St. Clair. She has been the recipient of awards including the USC Performance Science Award, the Christine Marie Ofiesh String Quartet Competition First Prize, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada Award of Excellence. Roberta is also currently the performing arts writer of the Calgary Guardian online magazine. Roberta has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2020. Her rate is $31 per half hour.

takafumi tan (Violin)

Takafumi Tan got his Bachelor of Arts and Science degree (Major in Music, minor in Mathematics) from the University of Lethbridge. He has more than 20 years of violin and piano training with performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and received the Provincial medals for Level 4 (2003) and Level 6 (2005) in violin RCM examination. He has played in symphonies in both Japan and Lethbridge Canada. He has also taught violin and piano in various music schools and privately in Lethbridge and Calgary. Takafumi has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2023. His rate is $31 per half hour.
