Abigal Curwen - Violin, Piano music lessons in Abbotsford

Abigal Curwen (Violin, Piano)

Abigail has her RCM level 10 in Piano and level 8 in Violin as well as her ARCT harmony certificate and Elementary Pedagogy Piano certificate. She has experience performing solo, in orchestras and ensembles, and as a piano accompanist. Her teachers have included Rod and Laura Webster, Liisa Nessim, Dr. Calvin Dyck and Jean Ritter.
She is passionate about providing the most thorough and personally-tailored music education to her students and inspiring them to learn and grow as well-rounded musicians. Her rate is $22 per half hour lesson.

Adrian Doering - Guitar, Drums, Bass music lessons in Abbotsford

Adrian Doering (Guitar, Drums, Bass)

Adrian has 25 years of experience as a guitar player, including 8 years of private instruction with Carl Kory, Jim Blair and Mitch Merrett. His roots and influences have been various forms of intricate rock music, but he also loves to play and teach other genres including metal, funk, pop, blues, gospel and country. He plays with a variety of bands both live and for studio recordings. When teaching, Adrian’s main focus is to help every student reach their own unique goals, which is why he tailors each student’s lessons according to their personal wants and needs. His rate is $23 per half hour lesson.

AmandaEve Slattery - Voice,  Flute, Piano music lessons in Abbotsford

AmandaEve Slattery (Voice, Flute, Piano)

AmandaEve is thrilled to be teaching with Long&McQuade. She fosters a love of music as well as confidence in her students through a combination of classical, musical theatre, and popular music. She holds a BA in Music in vocal performance from Rocky Mountain College (Calgary, AB) and a Master of Applied Linguistics from Charles Darwin University (Darwin, AUS) and she has previously taught at Harmony Music and Encore Music Studio in Calgary AB. AmandaEve is an experienced performer and most recently she can be heard singing with Valley Festival Singers in Abbotsford, Belle Voci throughout the Fraser Valley, and the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Her rate is $23 per half hour lesson.

Chris Savage - Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano music lessons in Abbotsford

Chris Savage (Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano)

Chris Savage has been playing violin for the past 10 years, and studied with Dr. Calvin Dyck for 6 of those years. After playing with the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra from 2012-2016, Chris studied Violin Performance at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. He has taught at multiple music schools in BC and in Ontario. Besides teaching, he loves to produce successful concerts throughout the year, as well as performing for weddings, banquets, and other events in the Fraser Valley.
Apart from Violin, Chris has studied multiple other instruments including Guitar, Piano and Ukulele. His rate is $24 per half hour lesson.

Christopher Russell - Guitar, Piano, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin, Drums music lessons in Abbotsford

Christopher Russell (Guitar, Piano, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin, Drums)

Chris has been performing and teaching music professionally for over 20 years. He started out with rock, blues and metal before taking classical performance at York University. He later studied composition, theory and jazz at Grant MacEwan University. He has performed live with Oscar Peterson, recorded and performed with world renowned bluegrass artist John Reischman (Tony Rice), and worked in the CBC studios as a session musician. His specialties include rock, blues, metal, classical, jazz, prog, funk, country, folk, bluegrass, world, and finger picking styles. His rate is $25 per half hour lesson.

Emily Eggert-Botkin - Piano music lessons in Abbotsford

Emily Eggert-Botkin (Piano)

Emily has her ARCT in piano performance, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in theatre. Her music teachers have included Loring Elder, Donna Macluskie, and Wilma Penner. She has 16 years of experience performing solo piano in various competitions and concerts. She also enjoys working as a piano accompanist. Emily strives to inspire a love of music in her students, and provides them with a well-rounded music education. She enjoys teaching classical piano the most, but will tailor lessons to suit each student's goals and interests. Her rate is $22 per half hour lesson.

Kenny Cook (Guitar, Bass)

Kenny has been playing guitar for over 20 years. He is the main composer for the Juno-nominated progressive hard rock/metal band, Anciients. He also plays lead and slide guitar for a country/ southern rock band, and has been touring the world professionally for over 10 years. Music should be fun as well as challenging, and lessons with Kenny will help you build the skills you want to achieve, at any level of playing. He is very passionate about spreading his wealth of musical knowledge, and has studied a broad spectrum of musical styles, such as, blues, rock, metal, country, folk, and slide guitar. His rate is $23 per half hour lesson.

Kyler is a seasoned musician, recording artist, singer-songwriter and local legend. He teaches both country and western; his influences are rock, blues, folk and country. Kyler is passionate about inspiring a love of music in his students and loves to help them discover their unique talents as musicians. His rate is $25 per lesson.

Laura Wheeler has completed her diploma in Jazz Studies from Capilano University with a major in voice. She has sung with the Take Note Jazz Choir, Capilano University's Nite Cap Jazz Ensemble, and the Cap Singers choral ensemble. Laura has been playing Piano, Trumpet, French Horn and Hand Bells for over 15 years. Her rate is $23 per half hour lesson.

Mark's musical journey was, from the start, diverse. Upon discovering the guitar as a young teen, he continued to explore and experiment with many styles of sound. Even though he won a Royal Conservatory of Music silver medal while training in classical guitar, in the end, his heart was won by the blues. Mark's talent is in demand and he often plays for many local artists. Mark's most recent effort included writing, producing and playing guitar, mandolin and lap steel on the One Acre album titled "Big Back Yard". His rate is $23 per half hour lesson.

Niki is a experienced teacher with over 13 years of private studio instruction in piano and theory. She holds her ARCT in piano pedagogy, and also holds an associate diploma from Briercrest Bible College with an emphasis on contemporary theory and church music. Niki loves to play and loves to help others unlock their own musical passions. Her rate is $24 per half hour lesson.

Troy Barnes - Sax, Clarinet, Beginner Brass music lessons in Abbotsford
