Angelina’s musical training began at the age of 5, starting with classical piano. Once completing her Grade 10 RCM exam, she moved on to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree at UBC in Voice. Angelina’s passion is centered around creating a safe and nurturing learning environment, focused on fun and captivating lessons. She is a versatile instructor, comfortable in different styles such as classical, pop, jazz, R&B, and musical theatre. Angelina’s rate is $29.00 per half hour lesson.

eddie riumin (Drums, Piano)

Eddie’s musical experience started with the piano at age 14. He excelled at RCM piano exams in a short span of time, reaching up to RCM grade 9 on piano. Soon after, he pursued and obtained a Jazz Studies Diploma from Capilano University majoring on drums. Eddie is often performing on drums in all different genres and styles of music. Eddie's rate is $28.00 per half hour lesson.

emi hamnett (Piano)

Emi graduated from Osaka University of Music, majoring in Voice and has her Junior High School Teacher Certificate in Japan. Emi also graduated Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s SEA program and holds an ECE Assistant Certificate along with a Special Ed Teacher Assistant Certificate. She believes that music can be a powerful form of stress relief and adapts her lessons according to each of her student’s unique strengths and weaknesses to ensure the experience remains positive and beneficial for each of her students. Emi's rate is $28 per half hour lesson.

izabella hermogenes (Violin, Voice, Piano)

Izabella is a versatile pianist, violin, and voice teacher teaching popular, theater, classical music, and exam preparation for RCM exams. She started developing her skills and passion for music at the young age of 5. Throughout university, she has taught music at music studios while being a church choir pianist/violinist and soprano singer. She honed her skills as a musician and teacher through years of practice, dedication, and various experiences.
After graduating from university, she immediately took the board exam for teaching and got her license as a music educator. She enjoys sharing her musical experiences and knowledge with people to inspire and teach student to entertain.
Over the past eight years, Izabella has worked as a Musical Director and Pianist for Viking Ocean Cruises, where she honed her leadership skills and musical talents. In this role, she created shows, ensuring the highest musical performance for the audiences. She collaborated with performers of the entertainment department to achieve the desired
performances for the shows.
As a piano, violin, and voice teacher, Izabella wants to share her passion with students who would like to build their confidence and discover their hidden talents through singing and playing, with a supportive and effective long-term approach to every individual.

marc gladstone (Piano)

Marc’s been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2010. He teaches all genres, believing students will work harder if they’re playing music they love to play. He can teach RCM, and was a judge at the Victoria Conservatory of Music for graduating students in 2021. Marc joined Prism in 2010, playing large festival audiences and indoor theatres. He was with Doug and the Slugs and Nick Gilder before that. He also plays keyboards and sings with Stone Poets, recording their 5th album currently with Marc producing alongside West Coast Engineer of the year, Sheldon Zaharko. He’s the West Coast Director with the Canadian Musicians Coalition; a director at Pacific Northwest Radio and the writer/producer of the radio podcast. Nominated 4 years in a row for the BCCMA Keyboardist of the Year, he’s a sought after session player for recording and live performances. Marc’s rate is $32.00 per half hour lesson.

sande sauter (Piano)

Sande is a versatile instructor who covers a variety of styles including pop, rock, jazz, blues & classical, as well as piano theory & 'chording' techniques. Sande's diverse experience can satisfy all ages and skill levels and her patience, creativity & clear communication make her lessons a pleasure.
In addition to teaching, she is also a seasoned performer. Lessons for ages 4 & up.
Her rate is $32 per half hour lesson.

sandra fernandez (Voice, Piano, Flute)

Sandra has her Diploma of ABRSM from Malaysia. She received a Diploma in Classical Studies from Capilano University. She also has her License in ECCE with training in inclusive practice and infant & toddler care. Her musical talents include songwriting, arranging and improvisational techniques for 3 instruments. She is open to teaching the basics of digital records or assisting with simple recording. A huge part of her music teaching experience has involved training her piano, voice and flute students for RCM practical and theory exams. Her passion for Classical music has extended her interest in different musical genres over the years. She coaches in different genres that include Jazz and popular styles in music. Sandra's rate is $29.00 per half hour lesson.

sarab shamoun (Violin, Piano)

Violinist and pianist Sarab Shamoun is a passionate, professional musician who graduated with a Teaching Diploma in Music and BMUSed from Al Baath University. She has more than 7 years of experience as a music teacher in public and private schools. Her teaching philosophy is “Believing, Achieving and Serving.” As an educator, she feels that it is important that she is not just setting challenges for herself but also strive to be a positive role model for her students. Sarab has experience teaching students of all ages and levels, as well as students who have special needs. Sarab’s rate is $31 per half hour lesson.
