Since then, he joined as many choirs as he could during high school. Luc also participated in his high school concert bands and jazz bands, playing the tenor saxophone that was passed down from his father. Music has been something that has run in his family ever since he could remember. Typically, family gatherings involved almost everyone playing a guitar, microphones and amps and everyone would play and sing together as a way to cultivate bonds and connections. Luc's older brother, Brenden, used to teach at Long and McQuade and Luc has been studying his brother's teaching methods in piano and guitar. Luc has also been studying under one of Vancouver's best voice teachers, Billy Gollner, who has helped Luc understand the voice in new and expansive ways.
