She started learning the violin when she was 10 and considers this her natural instrument. She took violin lessons from Oxana Ossiptchuk, Audrey Sproule, Alejandro Drago, and Dr. Howard Leyton-Brown. She played both piano and violin in Saskatchewan local and provincial music festivals and worked on completing RCM exams in both instruments as well. Currently, she is completing a music therapy internship with UBMusic-que Therapy Services in Moncton and aims on becoming a Certified Music Therapist. She has adopted a therapeutic approach to teaching, and aims to create a safe space for her students while they are learning their instrument. She aims at making her lessons fun and engaging, and loves to get to know her students while they are developing their musical skills in either violin or piano. She has knowledge in classical music, but is open to developing her knowledge in other genres as well! Rebecca’s rate is $23 per half-hour lesson.
