She toured for several years as a fiddler with multiple groups and artists including Joel
Plaskett, The Paul McKenna Band, Lennie Gallant, Jimmy Rankin among others. Shannon has
also recorded several studio albums which have garnered national award recognition including
multiple wins from Music Nova Scotia, and multiple nominations from the ECMA’s and
Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Shannon has been a music educator for the past 15 years in Nova Scotia and Toronto. In 2018

School, in County Clare, Ireland, and in 2019 she was the recipient of Music Nova’s ‘Educator

should be fun and comfort, playable tunes, and becoming familiar with patterns and sight
