Ben Long (Guitar, Bass, Ukelele) Registration Request

Ben teaches pop, rock and blues guitar to students of all ages, with a strong theory foundation. He currently performs in a local pop/rock group and is involved in a Northern Ontario Record Label. In addition to teaching for more than 12 years, Ben has a background in recording and engineering, and he is leading our Rock Skool program. His rate is $23 per ½ hour lesson.
Bethany Mark (Piano) Registration Request

Bethany has been playing piano since 2010 and achieved her grade 9 RCM. She has worked with children of all ages and abilities in various settings. She was raised with a strong musical background and attended Canadore College for Theatre Arts, graduating in 2019. Her rate is $23 per ½ hour lesson.
Catherine Trenker (Piano, Theory) Registration Request

Catherine has been an instructor for over 25 years in central Ontario and North Bay, specializing in elementary piano pedagogy. She has completed all theory and history certificates at the A.R.C.T. (Associate Diploma in Piano Performance) level for the Royal Conservatory of Music . She is also an affiliate member f of O.R.M.T.A. (Ontario Registered Teacher’s Association). Her rate is $24 per ½ hour lesson.
Chip Kean (Saxophone) Registration Request

Chip joined the RCAF in 1973. In 1986 he decided he needed a career change and in 1986 enrolled in the Volunteer Musician Program at 14 Wing Canadian Forces Base, studying saxophone there until 1989 when he was transferred to 22 Wing CFB North Bay. Chip continued his studies at the Canadian Forces School of Music and did Basic Improvisation & Keyboard Method & Theory through Berklee College of Music. He was appointed Director of the 22 Wing CFB North Bay in 1998 and served there until 2016. He was the Ensemble Director and Saxophone Instructor for the Nipissing University Applied Music Programme. Chip has performed with the Central Band of The Canadian Forces, 8 Wing CFB Trenton, The Continentals Big Band, Nightshift Dance Band and still performs with the After Hours Jazz Combo and the 22 Wing Military Band.
Daniel Rayney (Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin) Registration Request

Daniel teaches students of all ages, in multiple genres including Rock, Blues, Country and Classical guitar technique. He is dedicated to each individual student’s musical development and focuses on theory, technique and performance. Daniel studied at Wilfred Laurier University under Terry McKenna in a Bachelor of Music program for guitar performance. Jason is a Music Performance graduate with a B.A. from Laurentian University and has been teaching since 2010. He has designed a fun, innovative curriculum suitable for all ages. He offers students of all ages an opportunity to explore their love of music with a focus on technique and artistry. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Education: Specialist Music Intermediate and Senior Divisions, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Music Teachable – Voice). She has completed her Grade 8 RCM for Piano. Jennifer is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers. She teaches students of all ages with an individual approach to lessons. With focus on technique and theory, sight reading and ear training, Jennifer will take each student to the next level of their musical journey. Her rate is $26 per ½ hour lesson.
Jennifer Hedican (violin) Registration Request

Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance degree at Sir Wilfred Laurier as well as a course in musical pedagogy, and has been teaching and performing for over 20 years. She teaches RCM and Suzuki Method and plays with the North Bay Symphony orchestra. Jennifer is comfortable teaching classical violin and Celtic fiddle styles. Her rate is per ½ hour lesson.
Jordan Wyshniowski (Violin, Cello, Guitar) Registration Request

Jordan began his cello training at Cambrian College under the guidance of former NBSO conductor Dr. Metro Kozak. He attended the University of Ottawa music program where he studied with National Arts Centre Orchestra principal cellist Amanda Forsyth and NACO cellist Margaret Munro-Tobolowska. He has done numerous performances in Ottawa both in and outside of the University in addition to teaching stringed instruments, including his first instrument, the guitar. He is the North Bay Symphony principal cellist. Jordan’s rate is $23 per ½ hour lesson.

He also has expertise in live sound engineering and has been a mentor for students of all ages learning guitar basics up to advanced technique.
