Dan began music lessons at the age of 5, he has since gone on to complete RCM level 8 in both piano and theory. A graduate of Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, he was a music major with experience in brass, woodwinds, strings, and music production. Dan enjoys seeing others learn and for all to appreciate music on a deeper level. Currently he is taking up his bachelor’s degree at Toronto Metropolitan University.
Dan’s rate is $27 per half hour lesson.
krista small (Piano)

Krista Small graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Music. She earned her grade nine piano, and grade three harmony and history, R.C.M. For the past several years, she has worked as a school music and math teacher, and band director. Krista is a compassionate teacher who is known for her ability to connect well with students of all ages.
Krista’s rate is $27 per half hour lesson, in person or online
matt doran (Piano, Songwriting)

Matt has been playing piano since he was 6 and has completed 8 levels of Royal Conservatory (both practical and theory). He has been a semi-finalist in the international songwriting competition for two of his original songs. Outgoing and enthusiastic, Matt enjoys sharing his knowledge with his students.

nancy davidson (Voice, Recorder, Piano, Pre-School)

Nancy Davidson holds a Bachelor of Music from UofT and is a Certified Level 3 Carl Orff Instructor. Carl Orff created a method of teaching music using poetry, rhythm, singing and movement. Nancy has conducted small & large Choirs, large recorder ensembles, adjudicated Guelph Kiwanis Music Festival and as a presenter at OMEA conferences.
Nancy’s rate is $27 per half hour lesson.

Penelope Walcott is a graduate of the University of York (UK) and the University of
Toronto, with degrees in music composition and theory, as well as a PhD in music composition; she has also completed her grade 10 Royal Conservatory piano performance level. A dedicated and empathetic
teacher with over 10 years' experience working with students of various ages and
levels. She has successfully taught and mentored students with their RCM exams,
concerts and auditions. She greatly enjoys working with students to help them create
success in their music studies!

rebecca foss (Piano, Theory, Composition)

Rebecca Foss has her degree in Music Performance and a graduate degree in Film Scoring and Composition. She specializes in music theory, romantic and contemporary repertoire, and loves writing sheet music for each student's favourite songs that are tailored to their playing level. Rebecca teaches with a fun and compassionate approach to students aged 6 to 86. When not teaching, she can be seen composing for indie short films and video games.

ruth kitchen (Piano)

Ruth is a graduate from UofT studying music and culture, and holds RCM certifications for piano and music theory.
With 19 years of piano teaching experience, she combines her love of music with a playful, engaging teaching style that connects to learners of all ages. Always patient, her goal is to equip her students to become curious, independently capable musicians who will enjoy making music for their whole lives.
Ruth's rate is $27 per half hour lesson.
sharon cheng (Piano, Flute)

Sharon started her musical journey at the age of four at one of the most prestigious music schools in Taiwan for piano, and later branched out to flute. She attended the University of Windsor where she obtained a major in Music Performance for flute with a minor in piano. She holds RCM certificates for both flute and piano, and is currently working toward her Grade 10 and ARCT for piano. While her professional focus has been on sharing her passion for music with her students, she has perfected her craft under the tutelage of Jaimie Wagner at University of Windsor, Pandora Bryce at University of Toronto, and Mizi Tang of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra.
Sharon's rate is $27 per half hour lesson, in person.
svetlana jermakowicz (Violin, Piano)

Svetlana Jermakowicz attained her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees at the Pedagogical University in Minsk, Belarus, majoring in violin performance. She is an active musician in Durham Region performing as a soloist for special events, weddings and in trios and quartets. She enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels. Svetlana has been teaching piano, violin and music theory for over 25 years. During these years she has prepared numerous students for Royal Conservatory Examinations and the Kiwanis Music Festival with the highest degrees of achievement. The lessons are are creative and vibrant, tailored to the needs of each student with the goal of teaching the language of music and the joy of music-making.
Svetlana's rate is $27 per half hour lesson.
