I have tried a few and this is the best turntable for interfacing with a Mac to digitize your record collection. With the built in pre-amp it also makes an excellent every day turntable to listen to your records with a regular or micro amp. I purchased this turntable at $229, so seeing it at this price encouraged me to encourage others to purchase it. The only complaint I have with it is that there is no way to adjust tracking weight so I have a couple of albums that just won't play on it. You could tape a penny, I suppose, but it would be nice to have a tracking dial on the tonearm.
