Description
We don't see drum kits this magnificent too often! This custom ordered DW 333 Maple kit was recently traded in from an owner that never took them out of the house. As such they are in tip-top shape and even have the factory heads installed (the former owner reskinned the kit immediately after purchasing it, then reinstalled the stock heads before selling them to us).
Alterations in grain direction greatly influence sound. In a VLT™ shell, the outermost and innermost plies run vertically, rather than a traditionally horizontal configuration. The vertical grain places less tension on the shell, thus allowing it to vibrate more freely, resulting in a lower fundamental pitch. From VLT technology, 333 was born. This 9-ply VLT evolution also has no reinforcement hoops and produces a lower overall tone while still maintaining maximum resonance and attack. 333™ shells are available only in Collector's Series® Pure Maple.
The striking black finish is perfectly complemented by black nickel hardware and features DW's proprietary 'True Pitch' tension rods, allowing for precise, accurate, and stable tuning. This kit does not include any hardware or cymbals, save for the rim mounts on the toms, and the legs for the floor toms.
While we cannot offer home delivery on this drum set, it is available to transfer to another Long and McQuade should the occasion require.
