There is more than one way to write a song. Join Colleen as she looks at different strategies for writers who want to branch out or tighten up their approach, through musicality of language, perspective, writing in different genre patterns and more. Colleen is a singer/songwriter. She is also a Sessional Instructor at UVIC in History of Rock and Roll, The Beatles, Top 20 Albums and Songwriting.

Through vocal techniques that can be used to expand your range, and an analysis of language from a singer's perspective, Colleen will open up vocal possibilities to writers so that they can take advantage vocally of their lyrics, and explore emotional connection to give greater dimension to their songs.
