60-Degree Bearing Edges Enhance Articulation
Pearl's 60-degree bearing edges, cut into the inner and outer veneers of each shell, increase contact between the drumhead and shell. This design enhances articulation and focus while boosting volume. The sharp inner edge also helps vent air pressure from inside the shell, producing a throaty, resonant tone with substantial low end.

2.3 mm SuperHoop II Rims Hold Tune
Triple-flanged 2.3 mm steel SuperHoop II rims provide rigid drumhead support. Their sturdy yet streamlined design helps the drum hold tune even under demanding playing conditions. SuperHoop IIs mount to the shells using Pearl's OptiMount suspension system which attaches at multiple points around the circumference of each drum. This mounting style maximizes shell resonance by reducing hardware contact.
