Used this speaker with my Mackie Mixer (needed more inputs) to play some background music, and hook up a couple of mics for speeches. Was at the Richmond BC Nature Park events building. Room capacity was probably 70-100 people, and we had about 75 people there on a cold snowy day. The unit filled up the room with sound, and the volume was more than adequate at less than half. The preamp in my Mackie really helped with gain and mic control, and was a great way to mix in the iPod audio. The room acoustics were not great (older, wood-panelled space that was wider than it was deep), and I was only using one of these, but sound filled the room, and everyone could hear the speeches just fine. I am going to pick up another one of these to have a stereo unit.
