Picked these up on sale for $70 to replace my old noisy, loose Mapex pedals. These feel so much stiffer, tighter, and more responsive and no pedal noise ( I record drums ) These have no spikes but realistically that shouldn't be a factor for live work. These perform higher and better then the price point reflects.

I bought two of these just for the heck of it after already owning iron cobras, eliminators, iron cobra juniors, Yamaha Fp7210s, and various other sets of single kick pedals. I must say, these p530s are really nice for an 80 dollar, radius rod (floor plate-less) pedal... I think they're better than the Yamaha fp7210 for having double chains to help almost eliminate side to side stability plus the overall fit and finish is nicer. They just feel more solid and smooth than the 7210's. A few of the only things I can fault the p530 on is the factory bearings are mediocre (one was clicking and not seated properly), the spring tension nut is puny and needs it's own wrench, and finally the footboard isn't the most comfortable with bare or sock feet. But I'll soon fix that with mr. bench grinder... After replacing the bearings with some skateboard ones, oiling the spring pivots, and replacing the beaters, these pedals do as much as my eliminator redlines. They do not hinder my playing abilities whatsoever. I can achieve steady 210 bpm double bass with these ''beginner pedals'' just as easily as I can with pedals costing 3 to 4 times the price. Well done pearl! Now only if these had the zero play eliminator footboard hinge and spring rocker, they'd be almost perfect.

Did not expect it to be this nice for the price. Bought this as a spare but it\'s pretty good. Smooth and solid, decent adjustment range.
Only complaint is if you like a lot of tension you may need to swap the spring. At its tightest, it\'s like my DW3000 at half tension. Also the lock nut for the tension adjustment is just a regular nut, which you can\'t tighten much with your fingers alone. Has not been an issue so far, but may need to retighten periodically.
Also, no spikes to hold it on place.

Il n'y pas manuel d'instruction dans la boiter, ni sur le site internet de la compagnie Pearl. On doit télécharger les autre manuels de leur site pour essayer de se faire une idée du fonctionnement de la pédale.
