Aaron has been giving guitar lessons for over 15 years, currently in the Markham area. A student of rock/metal early in life, he soon progressed to study classical guitar through the Royal Conservatory of Music. Aaron then shifted his focus to Jazz and Jazz Fusion styles, and became an honours graduate in the Jazz Guitar program at Humber College.

After his studies, Aaron found a rewarding passion in teaching. Aaron loves teaching a variety of musical styles (Rock, Metal, Jazz, Classical, Blues, Funk, Pop, Folk, Song writing, Shred and Improvisation) and has seen success with students of all ages, from beginner to College/University preparation.

Some of Aaron's musical accolades include: In 2010, he was hired to demonstrate amps at winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants), and a few years later, he backed up Sarah Brightman on CTV Morning. With a vast array of styles under his belt and experience performing with numerous bands and ensembles, Aaron is eager to pass on and share his experience with students of all musical leanings.

Aaron Dimoff has been singing professionally on operatic stages across the country for the last decade. After receiving his Masters in Vocal Performance degree from UWO, he worked as a resident artist for the Calgary Opera company, performing and training with singers, conductors, and directors from around the world. Aaron has since performed on Canada's biggest stages, from the Edmonton Opera company to the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto. An avid teacher when not performing, Aaron enjoys passing on his experience to everyone from absolute beginners, to musicians pursuing a professional career. His rate is $28.00/half-hour lesson.

Aaron Matheson has taught private music lessons for nine years. He is a graduate of the MacEwan University music program with a Degree majoring in guitar performance. He also received a Music Diploma from MacEwan University majoring in Composition. He studied jazz and contemporary guitar with Juno-nominated guitarist Jim Head, as well as composition with acclaimed contemporary Canadian composer Allan Gilliland. He performs regularly throughout Alberta and has played in opening slots for artists such as Coleman Hell, The Zolas, Scenic Route to Alaska, Busty and the Bass, and The Royal Foundry. He has toured across Western Canada and India. He teaches all skill levels and genres, but specializes in genres like rock, pop, jazz, blues, funk, folk, and R&B.

Abraham teaches the piano in a fun and engaging manner. He has helped students pass their graded piano exams with brilliant results. Having been teaching piano for over fifteen years, he has the ability to help beginners navigate through the technical challenges of piano playing. Building vast musicianship and guiding the student on effective practice methods is a vital part of his teaching. In addition to private instruction, Abraham is also a choir director at his church. His active participation encompasses diverse instrumental roles within numerous musical ensembles throughout the city. Additionally, Adam possesses a comprehensive understanding of recording and audio production techniques. Drawing upon over 12 years of musical experience, he offers a versatile lesson plan tailored to accommodate various learning styles and musical preferences.

Adam Crossman (Guitar) Registration Request

Adam is an award winning solo acoustic guitarist and composer. He has been playing and performing professionally for over 10 years, he has toured internationally through Canada, USA, and has successfully performed a solo concert series throughout China. In 2015, he won 2nd place at The Canadian Guitar festival international fingerstyle guitar competition. Adam has been highly recognized by the progressive guitar community and labels such as (CandyRat Records & FretMonkey Records) He has been teaching throughout Durham Region in an academic geared environment for over 5 years. Adam has a strong passion for teaching and sharing concepts and ideas, and guiding you along on your guitar journey! Adam's rate is $23 per half hour lesson.

Adam Inrig (Drums) Registration Request

Adam Inrig has been studying and playing drums since the age of four. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, drumming and music always played a central role in his life and still does today as music is what Adam is most passionate about. Adam is an alumni of the Hamilton All Star Jazz Band and is an honours graduate from the Mohawk College Applied Music Program. He is also a graduate of the Bachelor of Music Jazz Performance Program at the University of Toronto where Adam obtained his degree in 2021. Adam performs with various local bands and acts around the GTA which have allowed him the opportunity to play at several well-known festivals and venues such as Hamilton Supercrawl, Burlington Sound of Music Fest and The Rex Hotel. These acts allow Adam to perform a wide variety of music including rock, big band jazz, pop, funk, theatre and more. Adam is friendly, honest and reliable and genuinely enjoys sharing the world of music with others.

Adam has taught guitar through Long and McQuade for seven years, impacting and inspiring many students through his one-to-one teaching, music camp instruction, and adjudication. Adam has played guitar for most of his life, either as a solo performer or in different acts. He is constantly composing and producing for his main project Bloom Filter. He received his Bachelor of music in audio while studying classical guitar at the University of Lethbridge and went on to do his master's degree in computer science (music technology). Adam continues to learn and write as much music as he possibly can and loves to share that enthusiasm and excitement with his students. Adam teaches guitar lessons remotely through our Edmonton Highlands location.

Praised for his “rich vocals and dynamic palette” (Holly Harris, Opera Canada, Fall 2019), Manitoban tenor Adam Sperry has had the privilege of performing with many companies across Canada. Adam is a recent graduate of the Schulich School of Music with a Master’s of Opera and Voice under the tutelage of John MacMaster. Recent highlights include Sam Kaplan in Weill’s Street Scene with Opera McGill, first prize winner of the Zita bernstein Herman Lieder Competition - adjudicated by Elly Ameling, and tenor soloist in Carmina Burana with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Adam is thrilled to join as a voice and piano instructor at Long & McQuade and will apply his thorough experience in opera, musical theatre, pop, rock and jazz, to a holistic learning experience.

Multi-instrumentalist Adam Willey has been an active part of the Canadian music scene for over a decade. His ability to fill a multitude of roles has kept him in demand as supporting musician for many notable Canadian artists on festival stages across North America. He completed his Undergraduate studies at the VCC School of Music, where he received his Bachelor of Music (2021), and has helped hundreds of people set foot on their own musical journey through one-on-one music education. Adrian has been an avid guitar player since 1992, including 8 years of private instruction with Carl Kory, Jim Blair and Mitch Merrett. He plays with a variety of bands, both live and for studio recordings. Additionally, Adrian has a certificate in Audio Engineering. Aiden Russell has played drums for the fourteen years and has performed in many Saskatoon-based bands. He also studied piano for 10 years. Aiden currently studies under Nashville-based drummer Dango Cellan, who plays for Scott Stapp and Amber Pacific. He has earned a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Regina. Aiden is willing to work with any student at any level. As a teacher, Aiden hopes to show students the joys of drumming and creative experimentation.

Alan Jossul teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin and banjo. He has taught music in the Comox Valley since the 1990s and earned a diploma in jazz studies from Vancouver Island University in 2001. Alan is an expert in a wide variety of styles including jazz and bluegrass, and he is a founding member of local bands Big Red Truck and The Emily Cars. His lesson rate is $29 per half hour.

Alex Moxon has been teaching music for nearly two decades. While focusing on jazz studies, he received a Bachelor of Music with highest honours in 2012 from Carleton University. He is happy to teach students of all ages and all experience levels while maintaining a flexible approach to teaching that addresses each students' individual needs.
