Paid 99 bucks, did not expect such a great amp. Thanks Fender. It's Crisp and lots of great effects and features, much better than my 250 dollar VOX amp or my buddies Line6 amp.

I am really impressed with the Fender Mustang 1. This thing is pretty damn loud for a 20 watt amp.. good enough to jam with friends and not have the sound of a drum kit or bass over power it. The fender software is awesome and you can customize the settings to suit your needs. It isn't going to sound like you went into the studio when recording with usb but the sound quality exceeded my expectations and it is good enough to cut demos with. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a foot switch but for the price it is worth every penny.

Sold my Roland Cube once I found out what these Fender amps could do for a fraction of the price. I needed a practice amp to use with headphones at home at night, so got the Mustang 1. (I also own a more expensive Fender tube amp.) As the other reviews say, you get incredible bang for your buck, great sounds and good quality effects, plus the editability of the Fuse software which works on Mac (& PC). What a great company Fender is!

For the price you can't go wrong. This amp has so many features and the sound is amazing too. The Fender Fuse software is so good, it's hard to believe you get all this in a amp for this price.

Very nice sounding 20-watt practice amp. I normally use the 65 Twin Reverb amp model and add my effects pedal accordingly. Great built in effects too like the delay and flanger. Also has usb, aux/cd and headphone input. Can get really loud if you crank it up.

I have spent countless hours playing with this amp and the huge array of sounds it can dish out. The best small amp you can buy, for beginner's or experienced players.

I'm a beginner and this amp is great for me. no matter what I want to play there is ALWAYS a suitable preset for it. It has great sound quality and nice effects which most of the amps in this price range don't and it also comes with the free Fender FUSE software that you can get presets for amp from Fender fuse website for many songs. As a portable amp is the best. It completely kills something like a Line IV MicroSpider. I highly recommend it.

Bought this for noodling in my easy chair and home recording. Bought one of the first ones that came out. Never thought I would own an amp with an 8" speaker. But I love it. So much so that I bought another one - one for the living room and one for the studio. The modelling is superb. Great clean tones and capable of a surprising amount of volume. I love the 65 Deluxe Reverb amp model. It's not pre-installed on the amp, but using the Fuse software and USB I replaced a few of the stock presets with a host of '65 Deluxe presets. Fuse is amazing. A tone of effects, models and deep editing allows you to craft whatever sound you want. Like having a room full of stomp boxes and effects units. The USB allows empowers you to record to your DAW directly. All for $100 - insane! I've been playing for over 40 years, and the Mustang series are the best amp values I've ever seen.

In my honest opinion, this amp has the greatest performance and features of any amp in its price range. I tested a few amps in store and the Mustang I was easily my favourite. This amp is phenomenal for its price and the Fender Fuse software is relatively easy and fun to use. I highly recommend this amp to anyone looking for quality within a $150 dollar price range. Fender offers more features and power that the Line 6 Spider IV amp for only dollars more. Highly recommended.

This is the best thing that Fender did. Eventhough it's 20 watt amp, it's still a great compact amp. For a cheap price you can have it, like you can have all the Fender amplifier in this amp. It's easy to use, have also tuner. It's a great amp, that's all I can say.

This is the best value in modelling amps. I've never owned a tube amp, but I think this thing sounds good, especially the "57 Deluxe" model. With some minor tweaks the preset sounds awesome. The built in tuner is really handy, and the Fuse software is really a good idea that tweakers will really like. This is the best amp out there for the money. The Vox modelling amps also sound good, but I did some research and found a lot of complaints about them having problems. Plus their competitor to the Mustang 1 is almost double the price.

This amp is the best purshace i've made in 20 yrs. It is simply fantistic! It will probilly take 6 mths to figure it all out but there is the fun. If anyone is in the market for an amp I highley recomond the Mustang! Get yourself one of these amps before the're gone. Fender outdid themselves on an afordable amp, they are giving us an unbeliveable deal. 11 out of ten, the best amp i've ever played on, loud and more effects than i'll ever use, but what fun to play on. In short, highly recomonded, get it before Fender realises what a deal the're giving us!!!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
