This stand does what it should and very well. It's response is fantastic. The only thing I figure people won't like, is the fact that there is no base plate. I honestly didn't care. I got it free with a kit and wondered why. Considering brand new it isn't that cheap, I guess for a hi-hat stand it is. It's solid. I have had tons of fun on it.

Was looking for a light-medium weight hihat stand. For all of its simplicity this is an excellent stand. I have been really impressed all of my recent Yamaha hardware purchases. No bells and whistles, just a sturdy, solid, smooth, and quiet stand. Easy to adjust, easier to play. Highly recommend!
