This is a very innovative product. I recently cut the pad of my thumb quite severely and have had to use a bandage on it for a while. This makes gripping a stick very difficult, as the bandage is slippery. I tired the Vic Firth Stick Wax with my bandage and it eliminated the problem. I have found that it is a truly useful product even without combating the problems of a bandage. It also has a very subtle, pleasant, scent. One critique is that it leaves your fingers with some residue afterwards. Of course this is easily remedied with soap and water! overall a very useful, high quality product.
