1960 INFINIUM - British Classic 150-Watt Tube Amplifier Head with INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier

The hand-selected EL34s and ECC83s give the 1960 INFINIUM its tremendous range of tonal options. The 1960 Infinium features a no-compromise post-phase inverter Master volume that can be bypassed for a direct signal path, and a huge output transformer with specially-nested windings for increased dynamic response and clarity. The onboard FX Loop (with true bypass) is ideal for use with external FX, preamps or modeling processors making the 1960 the go-to amplifier for massive stage sound and unbridled versatility.

Classic All-Tube Design
The 1960 INFINIUM features true Class-A technology with a 3 x ECC83 front-end and 4 x EL34 tube power stage. The hand-selected ECC83 preamp tubes in 1960 INFINIUMs classic '60s-era preamp provide everything from sweetly-purring blues to mind-blowing crunch. The mighty EL34 power tube is typically used in high-end guitar amplifiers because of its greater distortion characteristic at lower power than other output tubes and the 1960 INFINIUM harnesses every last drop of that power to awesome effect.

INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier Technology
The revolutionary INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier technology is like having your very own technician inside your amp constantly monitoring and tweaking tube performance for the ultimate in tonal integrity and reliability. This revolutionary circuit not only optimizes the performance of each output tube, it dynamically balances the drive between them to more evenly distribute the load. With INFINIUM, your tubes last up to 20 times longer, saving you substantial money over the lifespan of your amplifier. INFINIUM also compensates for the effects of aging, automatically adjusting current levels to keep your tubes sounding as good as the day they were installed.

You Are in Distinguished Company
But the 1960 INFINIUM has one feature that distinguishes it from all other amps in its class the two channels come equipped with 2 input jacks each that be used separately, in parallel or cascaded to evoke the spirits of '60s, '70s and '80s rock 'n roll royalty.

I bought this to replace a Marshall SuperBass I once owned and the 1960 sounds great, loud and authoritative through a Ampeg 810e! I am loving this amp!

Surprisingly great amp. Sounds authoritative and close to the amp it mimics! Seems well built and looks great too.

At 150 watts it is almost too loud for your average household. But for the money, you can't go wrong. This amp will give you that 60's sound when use a short jumper cable run between the two channels. Unfortunately you have to turn it up. That's when you'll get that sweet tone but also the nieghbours calling the cops. I had to have two of the four power tubes pulled (use a professional serviceman) to keep it under control.
