POWER SOAK PS1 Atténuateur de puissance passif de 100 watts pour amplificateurs de guitare et de basse avec sortie micro émulée
Le PS1 POWER SOAK est la réponse pour les guitaristes avides de sonorités, vous permettant de piloter les tubes de sortie de votre ampli assez fort pour extraire chaque goutte de son à chaque volume. Le PS1 fonctionne avec pratiquement n'importe quel ampli à lampe jusqu'à 100 Watts (4, 8 ou 16 Ohms) et votre enceinte préférée, plus une sortie Line avec un contrôle de niveau dédié et une sortie Emulated Mic pour envoyer votre signal à la console de mixage.
Sortie ligne dédiée
Sur le panneau arrière de la PS1, vous trouverez une prise de sortie ligne pratique pour le branchement à un amplificateur de puissance externe pour l'utilisation d'enceintes supplémentaires ou d'équipements de traitement des effets dans des applications professionnelles telles que le studio d'enregistrement. Le signal provenant de la sortie Ligne n'a pas d'émulation haut-parleur/micro, mais dispose de sa propre commande de niveau dédiée.
Direct Box intégré
Maintenant que vous avez le volume de votre scène sous contrôle, vous pouvez placer un micro devant votre haut-parleur ou mieux encore, utilisez la sortie micro émulée intégrée de la PS1 pour obtenir tout ce superbe son à l'avant de la maison (FOH) ou console d'enregistrement. Cette sortie XLR symétrique imite le son capturé en plaçant un microphone devant votre haut-parleur sans avoir besoin de matériel supplémentaire.

Question: If I have an amp that outputs at 8 ohms and a cab that runs at 4 ohms would this device work properly and what jack should I plug the amp into?

Répondre: Hi! You shouldn't be running a 4 ohm cab with an amp that requires 8 ohms. Higher impedance is fine, but lower impedance may damage your amplifier. Luckily, this device will prevent that. Run the amp into the 8 ohm input.

Bought the ps1 a little over a year ago, it worked great with my Marshall jcm800 sc20h (the 20w jcm800), i always had the Marshall turned up to about 7 on the master with the preamp gain 100%, it worked really well, until I decided to try my evh 5150 iconic through it, maybe after about an hour of use with the volume set to half, the ps1 burnt out, I lost sound for a second then it came back but at full volume, when I shut everything off and went to pick the ps1 up it turned out to be so hot that it just wasn't touchable, it also had a burnt smell to it
So a word of warning while using this device Other then that the construction is pretty good, its got lots of features, never used the line out or the cab emulation so I cant comment on that, the ps1 did change the way the amps feel and sounds(lost some bass and high end), but it got the job done until it didn't

I've had a Fender Pro Junior for a few years but hardly used it because it is so darn loud. I never turned it up past 2.5 and even then I had to have the volume turned way down on the guitar and the amp didn't sound good and it gave me ear fatigue very quickly. I was trying to sell it but decided to see if a Bugera PS-1 could tame it.
It worked perfectly. If I want to use the amp's natural crunch, I turn it up to 6 and turn the volume down to bedroom level on the Bugera. If I want a nice clean sound I turn the amp down to 2.5 and turn the volume up on the Bugera and guitar. Sounds great. Now I have a tube amp that doesn't make my ears want to bleed.
The Bugera PS-1 works great, is well built, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Very highly recommended!

I want to play my EVH 50w in my home without my neighbours hating me. This works perfectly. Construction is very solid. I personally like the notching on the main output knob. I’m a tone freak and this doesn’t mess with the tone at all. I’ve never used the line out, so I don’t have an opinion. Even if it sucks, no one should be buying an attenuator because it has a line out. It’s an additional option, at an already very low price point. I would absolutely recommend this unit, after three months of very regular use

I bought 2 of these to compliment my 2 universal audio ox units. the difference in volume is pretty extreme on the OX, so i needed something to allow me to dial in a volume that actually works in a small room that isnt a recording studio. i haven't tried the recording output, but the power soak doesn't change my tone out of the amp at all. its great. the build quality feels iffy, and the knob has this metal on metal dragging feel on both units that I own, but im about to order a 3rd for yet another amp. worth your money. and i really try to avoid behringer....

Bought this as a cheap alternative to the other much more expensive attenuators out there. Use to get so hot that you couldn’t even touch it for about 10 minutes after using. Worked well for a while then started cutting out and then just didn’t work at all. Maybe 15 hours of use. I would save up for the better attenuator and not waste my money here. Also, when you plug it in, the output drops to about 50 watts (I have a 100w head) and you start working from there. Can’t get it back to the 100w without completely disconnecting. The line out sound is awful and unusable

I’ve had mine for a few weeks now. I can’t believe how great my amps sound opened up! I have a ‘66 Fender BandMaster, ‘79 Marshall JMP and a 70’s Traynor YBA-1A. They all have way too much power for bar gigs, but man, with the Attenuator it lets me get that sound I want at any volume. The Bugera is built really well, I have no doubt it will work forever. Now I need to get another one so I can A/B the BandMaster and JMP!

Just started using this with my 1974 Traynor YBA1 and Marshall 4x12 and absolutely love it. I can get full saturation on the head at practice volumes. With the dial at full it's still soaking 50% of power (as per documentation) so at practice I have to have it cranked to compete with the drums, but it's still at a good level. No tone change, as far as I can tell, though admittedly I've only ever heard my rig at full through a mic in an iso booth, because it's way too loud. I can't recommend this enough.
