This device adds a preset amount of gain, using a single control. With a guitar, this lets you boost your signal for lead work, adjust between two different guitars with unmatched output (i.e., humbucker to single coils), or it can supply a permanent boost in a long effects chain where signal drop off is a problem. Power: Single 9-volt battery or Dunlop ECB-003 AC Adapter - Controls: Footswitch toggles amp on/bypass (red LED indicates on) Gain knob adjusts total output volume when micro amp Is engaged

i bought this pedal 10yrs ago cause a a friend recommended it to me. i used it once and hated cause i was young, stupid and didn't know what i had. a year ago i found myself needing some thing to give me punch and to help me cut through the mix live and at practice. but wouldn't ruin my tone or break up my sound. and then i remembered this pedal hoping it was still in production. went and bought it asap and wow was i kicking myself so getting rid of it so many years ago. so simple you wouldn't imagine how handy and great this pedal is. i use it so much and for the price you will get you moneys worth time and time again. the only pedal that rivals it in comparison is the Custom Audio Boost

We already know the basics: The Micro-Amp is solidly built. It's got true bypass. It's dead simple to operate. And $78, it's cheap. All good things. But the Micro-Amp's greatest strength, IMO, is it's clarity. It amplifies your sound clearly and brightly without changing or clouding it. Other boosts like the EHX LBP-1 or the Xotic EP tend to colour your tone ever-so-slightly... which of course can also be a good thing if that's what's desired. When I want a pure signal boost that won't change my tone, the Micro-Amp is my go-to. I even use it to boost my my acoustic guitar from time to time. It's a winner--it's no surprise that this pedal is highly acclaimed.

So I own a tube amp and I keep my guitar volume at 10 always and keep my amp clean but pretty close to breakup, so when ever I want to overdrive my tubes I just kick this bad boy in, plus run this in front of a big muff pi pure white stripes tones, put it In front of a boss ds-1 black keys tones, bang for you buck!

Make your single coil sound like a humbucker. Great for a little volume/gain booster.
