This is a great drum key. It easily detaches from the lanyard to use. It is heavy enough that you can spin it to remove the tension rods quickly. The picture doesn't do it justice as it is quite a bright shiny chrome and looks more like jewelry. This is the last key you will ever need. I am happy I bought one. all my drummer friends want one and asked me where to get one.
