My son is into learning stick tricks and found lighter sticks not suited to what he needs to do. These TB sticks are nice n grippy and bigger than light jazz sticks wich really helps his stick work and he also wanted a heavier stick. This fit both bills plus cumon, this has to be the best looking drum sticks on the market today! For $5 bux more than your average set these are worth the extra coin. Like the other drummer commented here, my son plays aggressive metal and these are perfect for this style.

These sticks are practically indestructible. I play lots of extreme metal and deathcore, and I usually go through Los Cabos and Vic Firth sticks in like 2-3ish weeks. These sticks have lasted 3 months, and I absolutely love them because they still feel light and secure as I move around the kit, but they aren't breaking. Would 100% recommend for extreme genres. A little pricey compared to other sticks I've bought, but overall a great pair.
