I bought mine in 2019 and I am finally ready for a new pair. Other than a couple minor repairs, they have lasted a long time and really made a difference. Having had several reconstructive surgeries on my hand, loss of feeling has caused me a lot of frustration. The added friction makes it easier to hold on to the sticks without any added tension.
In summary, they’ve improved my experience as a drummer significantly. I highly recommend them.
