The SPLITMix4 is a fully passive hybrid mixer that offers a wide variety of configurations. Mix 4 stereo input channels down to 1 stereo output, split a stereo input signal to distribute 4 stereo output channels, or combine the configurations for a wide range of applications. You can even configure the SPLITMix4 as 4 stereo input channels thru 4 independent level attenuators to 4 stereo output channels.

Independent stereo level controls are provided on each channel. All 1/4-inch connections are stereo TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve) and all channel connections have intelligent switching to allow for a wide variety of configurations. Plugging into a mix input channel removes it from the splitter bus, and plugging into a splitter output channel removes it from the mix bus. Stereo or mono operation is determined by the type of 1/4-inch plug and cabling that you use.

The fully passive design of the SPLITMix4 has no active circuitry to add noise or distortion, and virtually any signal level can be handled. The Level attenuators cover a wide range and offer over 90dB of attenuation and channel isolation. The SPLITMix4 is designed primarily as a line level device with medium input and output impedances.

Need a simple way to split a signal? This is it. I use it to take a stereo out source and split it into 4 other stereo out sources, each going to a separate power amp and then speakers. Another great ART solution box.

I wanted to split a guitar signal clean into pro tools, and monitor the signal processed thru an amp with distortion, with the signal going down clean to hard drive, I am able to apply amplitube to the clean signal non destructively, if I recorded from source with the distortion, I can't undo it if I don't like it, perfect solution.

It was intended to split a signal, but using a 50ft 1/4" cable, it does not work very well or not at all. If it was powered to boost the signal, then this would've been a 10/10. This is the only ART product that I was disappointed in. And if you're concerned over the stiffness of the knobs....... Then go find another hobby.

It's essentially the most versatile "splitter" ever. I'd call it a mixer, but by this day and age we've accepted that the word "mixer" gets given to devices that can add gain, which this can not. Plus, I've just started calling it my splitter out of habit. It's true passive and does exactly what it says it does. Never had a problem. I would have given it a 10 for quality, but I feel like the knobs are a tad too stiff.
