Installed the pickup on a Martin DX 1. It sounds really good (good enough to play live shows with). The pickup has only one control (volume). I wish it had a tone control. I adjust the EQ through the amp or PA mixer to really dial in the sound.

if anyone would say a Taylor 520 all solid mahogany guitar sounded tinny in the first place would be deaf. My experience with this system was like the other reviewer...full treble was its only sound response...zero base response...hate this item...may be why it is reduced in price ???

I use this pickup in a Guild R-30. It's fabulous! There's no point in using it in any guitar that doesn't sound great on it's own. It can only reproduce the inherent quality of the instrument and it does that extremely well!

This is a great pickup. to the other comment on this: bourgeois guitars are tinny in the first place. After being amplified, you would need a good eq on its own. This is one of the best pickups out there
