Better than digitech's sound quality, but my pedal died within 2 years. Not acceptable

This pedal is incredible. I have added a few additional pedals which I highly recommend considering... First, I purchased a Boss FS-7 (like an FS-6, it just takes up less room on your board). The FS-7 has an A and B pedal that provides much additional control of your pedal. It allows for immediate channel changes as the RC-30 is a 2 channel looper. While you can change channels on the RC-30, it requires you to hold down the left pedal for 2-3 seconds and in the middle of a song, that can be tricky. You can also scroll up or down by holding down the A or B pedal. This is ideal for live performances as you don't have to bend down to switch channels every song. Secondly, the RC-30 offers an XLR input which is great, but the problem is it's always in record mode, so I also picked up a switch pedal from Radial, called the Hotshot AB-O - This allows me to split my mic so that it can either be running into the looper (when I want to record) or straight into my mixer (for when I just want to sing or focus on recording the guitar). With this kind of control, the possibilities are endless. I agree that the rhythm tracks aren't all that useful, but I have found the high-hat(1), rock(2) and Hiphop(7) useful enough and actually used them live with good reviews. 2 channels really allow for amazing creativity to occur. The included FX also really don't provide a lot of value, although the delay can add texture and the Lo-Fi could be a one-off in a song. Overall, I think it's an amazing tool. You really have to sit down and get to know its features, but when you do, it truly opens up worlds of possibilities... That is, until you see the 300! #mindblown

Great pedal. The good things about this pedal are build quality, storage capability, and ease of use (once you have it figured out). The best uses for this pedal in my experience have been for song writing, and for jamming alone, or with others. The negative about this pedal is price. Not too much else that is wrong with this pedal. Seems like it will hold up well over time.

I don’t have any experience with other loopers to compare this too but it is fantastic for practice. In the boss tradition, it is well made and seems like it would handle a fair bit of abuse. My one complaint would be that if you plan on using this for any vocals, it doesn’t have an XLR out. The drum tracks it comes with suck but,.. that’s not what this thing isn’t a drum machine, it’s a looper. I really like the fact that you can easily adjust the levels of each track which comes in extremely handy.
