I noticed this on sitting on the rack, while waiting to pay for some warranty renewals, then drove away...... Started thinking about that guitar ....Ended up at the bank to make a withdrawal, ( cash is best, not traceable back home) went back to L&M , checked the price again, just to be sure, I was right about the price... Went back to my van to get my little Yamaha (Electric/Acoustic) ( which I carry for on the road ) took that in for a quick appraisal, all was good, I walked out with this (used ) fender guitar, hard shell case, all for $230.00, ( less trade ) when I got to the hotel that night, after a slight tuning, I could not believe the sound, and how easy it was to play, light weight, full sound... Friggin awsome deal, didn't even realize it was used, mint condition. Can't wait to get home to plug it in. Not my first guitar, but now it's one of my favourites.

I purchased this guitar from L&M some months ago. This instrument is very well finished, easy to play with a light touch and has a very rich mellow tone. Also, has stayed in tune without having to be touched up for months. This is a good buy when you consider you get a fine instrument and a quality hard case for less than 400 bucks. It has brought me back to the love of playing again.

I happen to find this guitar with a hard shell on Kijiji for $300.00. This woman even through in some extra strings and picks. I felt a bit guilty actually. Such a solid, crisp sounding guitar. Very impressive. I truly thought Fender focused on there electric side and kind of cheaped out on the acoustic side. I couldn't be more wrong. Way to go fender, you nailed it. Would recommend this instrument to anyone.

I've owned many electric guitars in my time(who's counting other than my wife anyways?) but this is my first venture into the world of acoustic. I couldn't believe how inexpensive this guitar was for the quality. Cut away, built in tuner/pickups, hard case and all for under 350. After trying more than 50 guitars, I came so very close to picking up a taylor gs mini but this fender just felt right. Can't explain the feeling but it plays and sounds much better than some of it's higher end competitors. If you're looking for an acoustic in the 400$ range, this is it!

I stopped playing guitar twenty plus years ago and decide to pick it up again. Purchased this Fender and what an excellent sound. Was not expecting to get the sound for the price I paid for it and even comes with a hard shell case. For anyone out there looking to buy a guitar, this is the one.

If you played this guitar without being told the price one would think it was a lot more expensive. I have had a guitar of some sort for over 30 years, this one is by far the best of the lot.

I couldn't imagine for the price that this guitar would sound so full. I played in the acoustic room for an hour and finally bought this one that I thought sounded just as good as any other I tried. Amazing instrument

I already own a Strat and wanted to try a Fender acoustic. Managed to find it online as a guy needed to sell, picked it up for 150 including all the case and accessories and capo. I feel guilty because it is such an amazing musical instrument.

I use this type of guitar in my music class. My class just started learning the guitar so we're still just beginners. During the first few days, while I was trying out all the guitars, I loved this Fender one the most. I'm buying it soon and I can't wait to start playing on my very own guitar.

I've owned this for awhile now. I have a few guitars that worked very well, but this is the best at it's part! Compared to my other acoustics, this has a very favourable feel and tone. The cutaway offers easier fret access, the built-in tuner makes tuning it easy, and it rarely gets out of tune anyway. I've used reviews to help me decide before, but take it from me that this guitar won't disappoint you! The five stars aren't an impulsive click, but a thought out decision, and this guitar more than deserves it!

I've owned a few guitars and have jammed on a lot of expensive guitars, and this one is right up there on the top of the list. Especially for the value! Under $300 is a STEAL. Plus a hard case... you can't beat that. I bought this guitar a week ago, and didn't want to do my review right away (give me time to work it in a little) to have a more honest review. The guitar sounds great. Acoustically, it has a very crisp sound and plugged in, the Fishman preamp is very responsive. The highs are mellow and the lows are tight. A couple things: 1) I had L&M set up the action while I was at the store (the luthier was just about to leave for the day and I cought him just in time). I found the factory action was too high: 2.0mm height on the 1st string at 14th fret and 2.5mm on the 6th string at the 14th fret. I had them lower it to about 1mm @ 1st string and 1.5mm @ 6th string. 2) I found the glue smell was rather pungent in the case, so I've bee airing it out in the garage for the past few days. 3) My thumb would not slide along the neck too well, and the fretboard had a little friction, but that goes away once you work your personal funk into the instrument. 4) Get new strings!! The guitar is great but the factory strings SUCK. Slap on some D'Addario EXP 16s or Elixr Nanowebs and your golden! All in all 6 out of 5 for the price point. Just get your action set up by your local luthier. The guys at my local L&M set it up for free, but I did my own string change... Not sure they would charge for that. Probably (they are a business by the way). If anything happened to this one,I would buy a second in a heartbeat! Hope this review elps.

I bought one about 2 years ago and it is still fantastic! I bought the black one, and at the time it came with a free hard case. Recently I found out it's actually worth over $400 so its a great buy! I play weekly at church, in my band 2-3 times a month, and daily during the week. It sounds great un-plugged and plugged. Very clear, bright sound, and is energy efficient as long as you use a decent battery (I use Duracell Procell. I haven't changed it in over a year and I used it plugged very often as written previously). I love it and highly recommend it for guitarists who are on a budget, but want a great quality guitar. The tuner and other controls are good. The tuning knobs are good too. It's also easy play because it's low-action. Enjoy!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
