This tuner is absolutely great, it's responsive and quick, and most importantly, accurate. The strobe mode calls for the most precise tuning, but the regular needle mode is great for tuning up in between songs. It works fantastic on both acoustic and electric guitars, and surprisingly, bass as well. It's very simple to use and at this price, it's a better buy than it's polyphonic brother, the PolyTune Clip. The PolyTune has the feature of being able to tune all six strings at once, but really, it's more of a flashy gimmick that'll cost you an extra 20 dollars. This tuner is the only one to buy for acoustic playing. For electric, you have countless pedal tuner options, most prominently the BOSS TU-3 and the PolyTune 3, but if you're on a budget or just play at home, then this is the tuner for you.
